Powered grass campsite

Liked: Peaceful location.

Shower block was well looked after and nice and clean.

Electric hook up right by the pitch and nice large pitch.

Disliked: Field was full of diverts so ground was uneven to walk on even in the tent.

Grass was long so soaked the bottom of your clothes when walking to the shower block.

The showers were on a push to use system and it only lasted 8 seconds before you had to push it again. If you just held it in manually then the water would go freezing cold 🥶.

No water supply in the camping field itself.

No WiFi.

Liked: Liked the fact that the horses were so friendly. they would come up to you and be very interested they were really calm we both enjoyed thier company.
The shower block were very clean although there was a squeegee there it would have been nice to have a mop and bucket so you could clean up after yourself.but if you like calm and secluded this is the site for you.
We enjoyed our time there.

Disliked: Only thing I disliked was one of the big bins were full and no lid so rubbish was blowing around with the high winds.

Liked: If you like quiet and basic this site is for you. The pitches are large, and all have electric, which we didn't need. The facilities although basic were tidy and always spotlessly clean. Short walk to Solva which takes you on a gorgeous wooded footpath to the harbour, Pubs and shops.

Local attractions

Two splendid Pembrokeshire seaside spots are within five minutes' drive: the fab surf beach of Newgale, a spectacular two-mile stretch edged by an enormous pebble bank, and Solva, home to a scenic harbour with shops, pubs and kayak and canoe hire. There are plenty of picnic places at both, particularly at Newgale where the solitary-minded can stroll all the way down to the beach's southern end and through a cave to a cluster of sheltered bays. Another Pembrokeshire must-see is tiny St Davids, the smallest city in the UK. Have a day here to see its famed cathedral founded in the sixth century and the 13th-century Bishops Palace next door, then book a boat trip to fab Ramsay Island for seal spotting and birdwatching. If you still yearn for sea and surf, one of the most acclaimed surfing beaches in Pembrokeshire, Whitesands Bay, is a couple of miles to the west of St Davids. Pembrokeshire's three theme parks are within easy day trip distance too: Oakwood Theme Park is 40 minutes' drive away, Folly Farm 45 and Heatherton within 50.
