Fab family friendly site with clean facilities & beautiful surrounding
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We really enjoyed our stay at Pencwm Escapes. The site is beautifully peaceful with stunning countryside views, and the pitches are spacious and level, which made setting up our tent really easy. The kids loved the open space to run around safely, and it felt very family-friendly. Facilities were kept clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere was relaxed. It was a lovely place to switch off and enjoy nature.
Disliked There wasn’t much to dislike. If anything, the lack of electric hook-ups might not suit everyone, but we found it added to the charm and gave us a proper off-grid experience. We used the charging station and freezer on site and then this wasn’t a problem.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked I have spent a lovely few days at Pencwm with my family. Really beautiful location. The site has really spacious pitches that fit three large tents with plenty of space for all of us to gather around the campfire. Facilities are clean and tidy and the showers were hot and powerful, just what you need after a long day of exploring! The hosts were so welcoming and helpful and they gave us great tips for things to do and see while we were there. They really cater for the kids and have plenty to keep them entertained. We will definitely be back next year 😊

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We had such a fab time at Pencwm Escapes. There’s loads of space for the kids to run about and explore, which made everything easy and stress-free. The gardens are beautiful — calm and welcoming. One of our favourite moments was playing rounders on the back mown area — things got a touch more competitive than expected…
It was so nice to have that space for proper family games. The whole site just has a really thoughtful, family-friendly feel to it.
I didn’t think I’d be able to convince my son to get off the rope swing to drive home!
Disliked Honestly, nothing we didn’t like.

From the manager: Thanks so much! Love that the kids didn’t want to leave the rope swing and that rounders got a little competitive. We’re all for a bit of friendly family rivalry! So glad you enjoyed the gardens and the space to just relax and have fun. Can’t wait to see you back at Pencwm Escapes!
