What customers say

This campsite gets rave reviews for its amazing mountain views, super friendly staff, and spotless facilities. It's perfect for families with a great playground and farm animals. Great location for exploring Snowdonia, with spacious pitches and a laid-back vibe. Keep in mind the access road is a bit narrow and WiFi can be spotty.

Liked What an enjoyable stay a lovely welsh gem of a campsite! well equipped for a relaxing stay. Super Quiet except the sounds of nature and the occasional hello from the farm Donkey 🤣 Spotless showers and toilet block hot water without the hassle of token operated timer. Lovely little shop with all you need we hired the fire pit and logs nice little addition of marshmallows and skewers for £2 ! very reasonable and local farm honey for sale which is delicious 🤤 We received a very warm welcome and was personally shown to our pitch and all facilities explained ( a nice personal touch ) would 100 percent recommend this little Gem and would definitely return next time in Wales a great campsite and a lot to offer especially if your climbing snowdon 10/15 mins away and lovely pub down the road !! Thank you for a great nights stay The Henry/Clayton family ❤️

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked Amazing views of the mountains. Clean toilets, friendly owners. Perfect location to get to all the places we wanted to visit.

Disliked Pitch was muddy, which I know can't be helped when it's been so busy. Take a hammer as the ground has loads of rocks and I broke half of my tent pegs 😅

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Nice friendly staff clean toilets etc, site clean staff walking round picking up litter. The lamb burgers in the shop are one of the best lamb burgers I have ever had. It will be worth going back for just the meat never mind the views of the 2 mountains.

Disliked Going with the kids and are lass 🤣

Liked Nice pitch. Decent space in-between pitches. Great info for walks. Clean site. Park for children. Animals to feed. Clean toilets and shower block. Well maintained site

Disliked Some children running around swearing... more a parental issue than site issue!

Local attractions

The surrounding area has heaps to see and do alongside the rambles, coastlines and castles: if you get a bit stuck for choice, ask the family for their top picks. Within a short drive are Surf Snowdonia in Conway, Zip World in Bethesda (home to Velocity, the fastest zipline in the world and the longest in Europe), the treetop nets of Bounce Below, Zip World Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog and GreenWood Forest Park a family adventure park in Y Felinheli. Rather conveniently, one of Wales's top attractions is less than five miles from Tyn Yr Onnen Farm, the National Slate Museum in Llanberis, where kids can get stuck into the story of the country's mining heritage amid talks and demos, quarrymen's houses and interactive play activities. Llanberis village is where many set out to climb Snowdon as the Llanberis Path begins here, winding up the least taxing route (we'll point out again that the Snowdon Mountain Railway goes to the top too). The village is also a popular place for adventurous activities like kayaking, coasteering, scuba diving, mountain biking, pony trekking and high ropes courses. Another popular pull of these parts is the Dinorwig Power Station or Electric Mountain: take an underground tour, set the kids free to play in the den, or test your wits in the Genius Corner puzzle room.
