Liked: The two ladies and dogs in reception. The look and cleanliness of the site. Jetta beautiful. The nearby walk.

Disliked: The heavy constant downpours ( site not responsible for) The road noise from the road behind my pitch was constantly interrupting my rest throughout the night so between that and the weather we left early. Tv signal very poor could do with a booster.

Onnen 2 bedroom safari tent (pet friendly)

Liked: The campsite was tidy and clean, staff members were friendly, quite impressed the shampoo and conditioner which provided smell lovely and moisturised.

Liked: Brand new toilet block with excellent hot showers and modern decor. Friendly staff at reception and very helpful with maps, routes etc.

Disliked: Wi fi a little hit and miss depending where you stood on the site. Could do with booster points to give more consistent coverage. Some road noise but not a big problem.

FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite (XL)

Liked: Pitch was fairly level. Facilities such as shower, toilet and cubicle with sink, were good, separate male/female facilities, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided, even a hairdryer. 2 sinks and drainer for washing up. A 10-12 minute walk to the town centre, selection of shops, pubs and take outs.

Disliked: Possibly more toilets needed, did have to queue at peak times.

Local attractions

For those days where you can’t be bothered to walk too far, it’s very handy that the station for the narrow-gauge Bala Lake Railway is just five minutes’ walk away. Views of the water are a given, but count the mountains too: Arenig Fawr, Aran Fawddwy and Aran Benllyn are visible on the route. You may have your sights set on climbing Wales’ tallest mountain, perhaps. If you’re not climbing up Snowdon (an hour's drive) yourself, you might want to take the Snowdon Mountain Railway (an hour and five minutes), which has been making its ascent for over 100 years. A less strenuous trail than the Snowdon climb is the Mawddach Trail, which runs for just under 10 miles from Dolgellau (half an hour), crossing over the gorgeous Barmouth railway bridge on the other end. Coed y Brenin Forest Park (35 minutes) has plenty of trails too, through thick forest this time. You can take them on by mountain bike, standard bicycle or on foot – and there’s bike hire at the forest park.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.

Extras

Motorcycle(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7 a.m..
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 2 or more units (e.g. tent, caravan, RV or accommodation hire) traveling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Reception

Reception is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 03/01 and 11/30.
Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the park while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time so that the team can provide information about your unit/site.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.

Vehicles

Only one car is to be parked at the site. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.
