Powered grass travel trailer campsite (no pets)

Liked: The site is really spacious with flat pitches. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. We had an issue with the van starting and they went out of their way to help us - a big thank you for that. The facilities are modern and clean - no complaints at all. All in all a great stay!

Liked: That was ours first even camping, which was amazing. Very warm and lovely owners, nice views for mountains and quiet area. Toilets and showers clean. Highly recommended! Thank you!

Liked: Friendly welcome from the host when we arrived. Allowed to choose our own pitch was nice. All amenities were very clean and easily accessible. Pub down the road was an easy walk and served delicious Indian food.

Disliked: Bit of traffic noise, but was fine

Liked: The space was great, we went on a bank holiday weekend thinking it would be cramped but the layout meant the field wasn't too crowded. The pitch sizes are large. The owners are fantastic, really approachable and can give local recommendations of things to do. The showers were warm and the toilet facilities were very clean. Washing up area was very useful

Local attractions

Spotted Breidden Hill from the site? Head over to take a closer look – it’s only about 10 minutes away by car and has a circular walking route to follow. For other walks nearby, take a stroll through Llanymynech Rocks Nature Reserve (10 minutes’ drive) or seek out the waterfall trail to Pistyll Rhaeadr (35 minutes). Lake Vyrnwy (35 minutes) is another fine place for a walk, either taking the lakeside route or following the sculpture trail, and it also has watersports activities including kayaking and windsurfing. And if all of that sounds a bit exhausting, maybe a ride on the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway (25 minutes) will suit? For different days out, have a taste of local history with visits to Powis Castle and Garden (20 minutes) and Chirk Castle (half an hour) or board a canal boat to float across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (half an hour). The sculpture trails at the British Ironwork Centre (20 minutes) make for a fascinating outing too.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
Your dog must be tattooed or microchipped.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, caravan, RV or accommodation hire) traveling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
Group bookings of 6 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Reception

There is no reception building on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality flashlight with them as parts of the park are unlit.
Open fires are prohibited.

Sites

A cable measuring at least 14 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
You must follow management instructions when setting up your tent/rig and related equipment.

Vehicles

The car is only included in the rate if you are traveling with a camper, trailer tent or tent. Cars are not permitted when traveling with a motorhome/RV.

Visitors

Visitors must leave the premises by 10:30 p.m..
