With a peaceful backdrop of streams, hills and fields where horses and goats graze, the accommodation is cosy, well-equipped and heated for all-year-round glamping adventures. Each light, airy unit has an open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area, plus double, twin or bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom (all bedding and towels are included) with a powerful shower. Foxes Den 2 bedroom camping pod (no pets)

Liked: Great couple of days at Cherry Tree lodge, stayed in the Foxes Den pod. Very cosy and clean, private garden with a hot tub. Loved the location, peaceful and secluded, felt safe and secure. The pod had everything we needed with an added bonus of board games and books. Nice pub short walk/drive away. Underhill Riding Stables just 10mins drive away, we booked a fantastic two hour trek venturing through Radnor forestry...then back to the Foxes Den to relax and a soak in the hot tub.

Disliked: Nothing.

The Cwtch 1 bedroom camping pod (no pets)

Liked: The pod was situated in a very quiet and peaceful location, the pod was clean and was equipped with all the essentials required for our stay. The bed was one of the comfiest beds we have slept in whilst on a holiday/getaway.

Disliked: Not so much a dislike but a suggestion, the hot tub could do with a shelter over it for the great british weather.

Cherry Lodge 2 bedroom lodge (pet friendly)

Liked: Lovely lodge, clean, spacious and well equipped with everything you needed for a self catering accommodation and more. Towels provided. Good communication with owner and on hand if anything was needed. The hot tub is definitely an added bonus. Plenty to see and do locally. We would recommend Gino's Pizzeria Llandrindod Wells & Golden Dragon Llandrindod Wells Beautiful food in both.

Disliked: Nothing much to add here only minor issue we had was that there were a lot of flys around the house, fly swatter was provided, but didn't really help.

From the manager: Hi Emma thanks for your lovley comments. Unfortunatley out in the countryside near to farms and animals we do get some flies sometimes.

Foxes Den 2 bedroom camping pod (no pets)

Liked: Myself and my 8yr old daughter stayed in the foxes for 2 nights. It was a really nice quiet site. The accommodation was very cosy with everything you need inside. It was alot bigger than I expected. It was really warm even with it being -1 outside. I would definitely return for another stay.

Local attractions

Get out in the fresh Welsh air of Radnor Forest for hikes across hilly moorland to the impressive cascade at Water Break-Its-Neck (15 minutes’ drive), or take the kids on gentle, waymarked wanders at Cors y Llyn National Nature Reserve (25 minutes), spotting rare wild orchids (in spring) as you go. Still celebrating the wonder of nature, watch vast birds of prey being fed on the wing at the Red Kite Feeding Station (20 minutes), or be introduced to owls, hawks and peacocks at Valley View Falconry (15 minutes), where younger kids will likely love the chance to cuddle goats and alpacas. To admire Victorian ingenuity, discover the 19th-century dams at Caban-Coch Reservoir (half an hour), and learn about their construction at Elan Valley Visitor Centre (25 minutes). Spend some time in the Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells (‘Landod’ to those in the know, 15 minutes), where you can clock the red-brick architecture, browse the shops and go fishing or paddleboarding on the namesake lake.
