  • Smart outdoor accommodation in a Brecon Beacons walled garden
  • A 10-minute drive from Crickhowell; 15 minutes from Abergavenny
  • Set in the grounds of the Glanusk Estate; day fishing available
Brecon Beacons Boutique Camping is a peaceful site set in the grounds of one of Wales' largest privately-owned estates. Located within a walled garden, this spot is a proper wildlife haven and a great base for exploring the length and breadth of the Brecon Beacons. The five-metre bell tents that have been set up here are spaciously spread out over these green surrounds and come fully furnished and with access to private toilet facilities (water points and showers are shared; please bring your own toiletries and towels). They also come equipped with handy charging points where you can rejuice any gadgets you've brought along. For safety reasons, this is a glass-free site. Barbecues are available to hire at Brecon Beacons Boutique Camping. If you buy a day fishing permit from the estate office you can also catch your own dinner of salmon or trout (otters have been spotted in these pools, so keep your eyes peeled while waiting for something to bite). Crickhowell, where there's a castle and a handful of pubs, is 10 minutes away by car. New to the area? Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre is half an hour away; you can also ask the helpful site staff about what not to miss.
