  • Peaceful and secluded woodland
  • Nestled in a valley by a stream
  • Meadow camping and shepherd's hut.
Coed Sgithwen (blackthorn woodland) is a native broadleaf wood nestled in a valley alongside Sgithwen Brook. There is a meadow area for camping and the stream runs nearby. You will be surrounded by 12 acres woodland (and beyond this 100s of acres of forests and fields). This seclusion makes the site incredibly peaceful with no road noise (aside from the occasional tractor). We are on the edge of a dark sky zone, so there is no light pollution, meaning incredible stars on a clear night. An abundance of wildlife live in the area; deer, hares, tawny + barn owls, hedgehogs, swallows, martins and kingfishers to name a few. Facilities are simple, a compost loo and spring water.
