Campsite

  • Peaceful adults-only site on a two-acre field near Llangrannog
  • New Quay, Penbryn and Aberporth within 20 minutes' drive
  • Sea views from the pitches; easy access to Ceredigion Coast Path
Sea views, splendid sunsets and space for stargazing – just some of the treats that await for guests at Camp at Erwan, on a secluded hilltop overlooking the Ceredigion coastline. And you can also throw into the mix a serene child-free atmosphere, as here these particular pleasures are reserved for adults only… This is a fabulous spot indeed, with pitches in a two-acre field giving plenty of space to admire the sunrise over the Cambrian mountains in the morning as well as the sun dipping into Cardigan Bay come the evening. In between the two, you may like to take a walk on the Ceredigion Coast Path, which is accessed 15 minutes’ walk away, and head over to Llangrannog (about 45 minutes’ walk). There’s a gorgeous sandy beach there, along with several award-winning places to eat. Also within easy walking distance is a fully stocked farm shop where you can pick up all manner of local treats (perhaps something to go on your barbecue and a drink or two for sunset hour?) Beyond that, other days out might take you to places like Aberaeron, Cardigan or New Quay (a famously excellent place to see dolphins, either from a boat trip or while on shore). There are lots of gorgeous beaches to explore along this stretch of coast too (Penbryn and Aberporth among them). Facilities on site include a phone charging point, a washing-up area, compost toilets and hot showers (supplied with eco-friendly body wash). There’s also an EV charger on site that’s available to guests for an extra cost. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on site, and have access to an allocated exercise area where they can run about freely.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Wonderfully peaceful weekend with stunning sea views. Janey is a lovely, welcoming campsite host. So much thought has gone into maintaining the site to ensure it's both attractive and eco friendly. Added touches such as the Faith in Nature shampoo to hot choc available in the cupboard made our stay in the field a more comfortable experience despite the wind and rain! It was also great to have so many recommendations for things to do in the area.

I look forward to returning again very soon!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Helpfulness of owners- they welcomed us and even offered to help put our tent up due to the high winds!
Modern and well thought out facilities- loved the “eco” elements. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all provided!
Very dog friendly- an enclosed dog exercise area. Even provided dog poo bags!
We’ll definitely be back!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: We had an amazing stay. The owners were lovely and polite. The location was beautiful, lots of different walks in all directions. Beautiful covers and beaches to visit. It was very quiet, still in school holiday time and surprised by how quiet it was. The campsite was clean and quiet. The facilities were amazing, the owners have taken care and pride in providing comfort to your stay. The pitches were separated so you felt you had privacy. They had an enclosed dog area where you could let your dog off for a run about and to do it's business which was a great add to the campsite. There is a local farm shop just down the road. All in all one of the best campsites we have stayed at.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: We absolutely loved everything about this campsite! The site is beautiful with gorgeous sea views, friendly owners, and lovely facilities. The showers are hot with great free toiletries provided, which was such a treat. Our dog has never been so relaxed at a campsite - calm and quiet with a very large dog paddock for her to be off the lead for a proper zoom around. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site for people looking for a calm and peaceful environment with wonderful facilitates and owners. We can't wait to come again!

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: The peacefulness in nature, the amazing panoramic views, nestled amongst wild waving grasses. The eco facilities - best camping shower ever! Genuine friendliness of Janey and Rich. Little touches like the honesty larder, luxury eco shampoos to use. A huge dog walking field with the most amazing views. Perfect location to visit the amazing coastline too.

Disliked: Literally nothing!
