A popular, relaxed spot praised for friendly staff and great value. Guests love the spacious sites, lovely views, and easy walk to the beach. Clean, basic facilities and coin showers are noted, as is the nearby train. Minor train/road noise is sometimes mentioned, but many want to return.

Liked We absolutely adore this campsite. We have been 5 times in the last 12 months and we plan at least another 4 this year. Martin is a dream to deal with. No overcrowding, showers I cannot recommend enough, he takes the time to go to everyone’s camp and ask how they’re doing. Sees the doggos and sorts any issues (we have had one issue in 12 months of a dog off the lead which was sorted instantly). The new washing up shed with fridge, freezer and charging facilities is a godsend. We were able to charge our electric bikes multiple times and that allowed us to really enjoy the area at all times of the day. The beach is within walking distance and the town is super close too. The train runs at the back of the site but it’s not even remotely an issue. In fact it’s a game to us to take a guess of how many carriages are coming! The whole site is peaceful and brilliant. We are always grumpy and sad every time we have to come away from that site but Martin knows we will be back real soon!
Disliked There are no dislikes. Genuinely…. None!

Friendly campsite, great atmosphere, beach nearby & welcoming owners
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Spent the Bank Holiday weekend at Ty Gwyn with myself and friends in our campervans, and we had a fantastic time. A great little campsite just a short walk from the beach. The railway line runs behind the camping field, but the trains honestly didn’t bother us at all.
Huge shout out to the owner — such a lovely guy. Always smiling, always saying hello, and always on hand if you needed anything. He also didn’t rush us off on check-out day at all, which was really appreciated. In fact, we ended up spending most of the day sat in the sunshine just enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.
A really welcoming site with a great vibe. We had an absolutely fabulous weekend and will definitely return.
