What customers say

Guests rave about the roomy, spotless glamping pods in a lovely, tranquil setting. They loved the free breakfast basket, refilled daily, and the hot tubs (especially with privacy screens). Staff are super helpful, and the location is great for exploring. The kids' play area was a hit too! A few noted more staff presence and better hot tub privacy would be ideal.

Lodge (hot tub)

Liked The stay was amazing. Very clean, spacious and comfy pod. Amazing location. Really enjoyed it.

Disliked Minor things, hard to get hold of staff if needed but this may have been me. Also the hot tubs could do with side protection/privacy screen incase you have children.

Lodge (hot tub)

Liked Loved the place, pods where huge compared to others. Great bit for the kids all to play while we sat at the fire pit on your own decked front. Hot tub with privacy screens where great as nobody wants to witness me trying to get in or out of a hot tub... stayed for 2 nights. Will definitely be back again.

The staff there where spot on, got us a high chair to feed the wee one, place came already set up, and the house keepers/ Peter the pool guy where top notch, couldn't do enough for you. We will absolutely be back here as it's only 30 mins from Glasgow.

There was also a hamper when we got there full of goodies, which is such a nice touch, fresh eggs, milk and bread with other bits and bobs... loads of places round about deliver via justeat, so we ended up taking too much food and ordered takeaway both nights like a bunch of pigs...

Disliked There is not a bad word to say about this place.

Lodge (hot tub)

Liked Everything was as described. Smooth Check in process and everything was explained in detail regarding hot tub operation etc. Very welcoming and left contact number should we have any issues. Really nice touch with food hamper and fresh milk and eggs. The weather was terrible but the hot tub has a retractable shelter which protected us from the scottish summer weather.

Local attractions

Weedingshall House is roughly half a mile from Gray Buchanan Park (10 minutes' walk), a gorgeous stretch of green space in a waterside setting used as a backdrop for the 'Outlander' series. Just down the road in Falkirk (10 minutes' drive), meanwhile, you can visit the Falkirk Wheel, a magnificent feat of engineering that connects the Forth and Clyde with the Union Canal. Falkirk also has a great range of family-friendly activities to try, including cycle trails, go-karting, snowboarding, segway tours and laser tag. A short drive away, there's also the historic town of Linlithgow (10 minutes), home to gorgeous Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. Other heritage sites not to be missed include Blackness Castle (20 minutes) on the Firth of Forth and the unmistakable Dunmore Pineapple (25 minutes). The beauty of staying in the Central Belt is how easy it is to get to both of Scotland's coastlines – Cramond beach and its causeway are half an hour away to the east, while the sandy Ayrshire coast is about an hour and 20 minutes to the west. Not forgetting top cities like Stirling (30 minutes), Edinburgh (40 minutes) and Glasgow (40 minutes), all of which have heaps to see and do.
