What customers say
Fernlea Campsite & Pod provides a friendly welcome and a peaceful, tidy setting. Reviewers praise the accommodating hosts and RV-friendly layout. Facilities are generally spotless, though some note basic chemical waste disposal. It's a quiet spot with decent access to nearby towns, but the entrance and pitch space can be tight. Fruit flies were an issue for some.

Perfect stop on your travels.

Liked We stayed for one night on New Year’s Eve at Fernlea Campsite & Pod, just along the road from Errol on the beautiful Firth of Tay, and could not have asked for a warmer welcome. On arrival, we found the owner and his daughter busy preparing everything for the pod guests, which immediately set the tone for our stay.
Nothing was too much trouble. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleased to have us there, creating a sense of hospitality that is sadly rare and deeply appreciated. The site itself is peaceful, well kept, and feels carefully cared for, with a calm, tucked away atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and switch off.
It was the perfect place to spend New Year’s Eve: quiet, welcoming, and full of simple charm. We left feeling rested and grateful, and we would not hesitate to return or recommend Fernlea to others looking for a comfortable, friendly, and thoughtfully run campsite.
A small place with a big heart.
Disliked Nothing to dislike, well set out, welcoming and everything needed.

Liked Quiet location, level pitches and very friendly host. Only a mile walk into Errol where there were two well equipped shops and a small welcoming pub. Worth noting that the pub only does food on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and serve only for a limited time.
Lovely bike ride into Dundee along the cycle route.
Disliked Not a dislike as such, but it is next to a grain store so need to be aware of grain trucks coming and going.
The chemical waste disposal is very basic.

Liked Didn’t actually stay as had to cancel due to family bereavement. Bruce was very understanding and immediately refunded my payment in full when he knew the situation.
