  • Peaceful and friendly farm site at East Fortune in rural East Lothian
  • North Berwick 15 minutes’ drive, and Edinburgh 45 minutes
  • Large pitches, animals on site and a farm shop selling local produce
Small, friendly and with views to landmark North Berwick Law, Station Park is set on a farm in East Fortune, a rural village 10 minutes’ drive from lively coastal North Berwick in East Lothian. The park has generously spaced pitches within easy reach of the on-site facilities, which include a service point and a coin-operated launderette but no showers or loos. ‍ The park has many quiet corners for sparking up the barbecue on warm sunny evenings, and the on-site farm shop sells home-reared pork and lamb (both go great on the grill), as well as hen and duck eggs collected fresh every day, locally sourced produce and a selection of camping essentials. You’re welcome to explore the farm, with a choice of field walks available for you and any four-legged friends, or have a wander through woods rich in wildlife. To venture further afield on public transport, a bus runs from East Fortune into North Berwick and Haddington from outside the local garden centre (10 minutes’ walk). Local taxis are available, and East Lothian has park-and-ride facilities into Edinburgh (45 minutes’ drive) as well as a regular train service.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Excellent location, clean and tidy with ample space to appreciate the views. Water points amply distributed. Fixed reel hose at motorhome service point. Owners and shop staff very helpful about local matters. North Berwick a short drive away. Great area, seabirds, castles, Bass Rock and harbour / Town. Free WiFi was very handy planning visits.
trains run by from early till late, but are fast and surprisingly relatively quiet as short lived.

Disliked Coped without shower facilities or toilets, but fully expected.

Laundry / wash up area has no hot water. Managed to get stuck in briefly, as the swivel locks on the laundry door swing freely. Used a book binding from the library to clear the swivel.

From the manager: Hi Ian,

Local attractions

If the weather is playing ball, make a beeline for gorgeous east-coast beaches at Yellowcraig (10 minutes’ drive, good for rock pooling with the kids), the long stretch of sand at Tyninghame (also 10 minutes), and Seacliff (15 minutes), backed by the photogenic ruins of Tantallon Castle. The latter two beaches have views out to Bass Rock; you can join boat tours to the island from North Berwick (also 15 minutes). There’s another local castle at Dirleton (10 minutes), with medieval ruins complemented by a vast herbaceous garden and topiary laid out in the 19th century. You can discover more local architecture at entrancing, peaceful Preston Mill (also 10 minutes), Lothian’s last working watermill and star of the TV series “Outlander” – keep your eyes open for kingfishers and herons as you stroll the banks of the River Tyne to an unusual 16th-century dovecote resembling a concrete beehive. Gannets and puffins are often seen at the Scottish Seabird Centre (15 minutes), while there are flying machines of a more mechanical kind on shore at the National Museum of Flight (five minutes).
