  • Among spectacular scenery a short stroll from the beach at Crail
  • A 20-minute drive from St Andrews and 45 from Fife
  • Heated outdoor pool and indoor play area
Golfers, boaters, beach fans, families, couples and heritage hunters: you'll surely approve of Sauchope Links Park in Scotland's Fife. On the eastern tip of Fife, this is a place positioned to soak up sun, with spectacular Scottish views, and within walking distance of the historic town of Crail. It's a short drive from famed St Andrews and has outdoor pursuits aplenty to pursue in the surrounding area. And those beaches? The local sands at Crail are only a few minutes' walk away. Amenities are kept spotless to ensure guests have as comfy and relaxed a time as poss; you'll find pursuits on site too, such as a heated outdoor pool and an indoor play area for the kids with pool and a football table. You won't have to leave the park if you need emergency bits and bobs, as the site shop stocks basic essentials. But if you do want to stockpile stuff to be sure, local supermarkets are 10 minutes' walk away at Crail along a most scenic coastal path.

Geodesic dome (wood-burning stove, hot tub, no pets)

Liked: Very nice site and setting, right on the shore. The toilets and campers kitchen were immaculate. We stayed in a dome and had a hot tub which was luxury compared to regular camping. Would definitely go again.

Disliked: The dome didn't offer electric hook up and the sprung mattresses were ok but a little uncomfortable. There was a 50m walk, with steps between our car and the accommodation which might not suit everyone

Hideout camping pod (fire ring, hot tub, no pets)

Liked: Right by the sea Hot tub Views Close to st Andrews

Disliked: No wood provided for hot tub - thought there would be a bag to get us started Sofa bed uncomfortable Had to take own rubbish out to bins. Seems petty but you're paying 160 quid a night...

Geodesic dome (wood-burning stove, hot tub, no pets)

Liked: •Wood burning hot tub •Clean faciliates •Campers kitchen •Heated pool - which was open for our stay •Amazing view •Walking distance along costal path to village. •Excellent location nr St Andrews •Friendly staff

Disliked: • Most uncomfortable mattress in dome - ruined my mood and my overview of the trip. •They sold a few items at reception but a better well stocked shop would be a welcome addition, though Coop was only a short drive away.

From the manager: Hi jenna, thank you for taking the time to leave a review - we do appreciate your feedback. Hideout camping pod (fire ring, hot tub, no pets)

Liked: The staff were very helpful. The cabin was lovely. It was wonderful to sit in the hot tub looking up at the stars or sitting on the decking with a cuppa, looking for dolphins. The view from the cabin over the sea was beautiful.

Disliked: Just a shame there was not wifi included given the cost of the cabin

Cabin

Liked: What an absolutely amazing time we had. We needed a little piece of heaven away from home and we found it right here. There is absolutely nothing negative that we could say about this place. We stayed in Bass Rock beach hut. My partner, his son, my wee dog and myself. We met lovely people and we had the most peaceful and relaxing time. The pool was superb ( it would have been amazing if it was open earlier like 8am). The staff were super friendly and everywhere was so clean. I am someone who expects cleanliness and this park hit the spot on another level!. We will be back and I am also going to book for my elderly parents for next summer as they will adore it. The views are exceptional and the weather, good or bad, does not hinder your stay as the huts are warm, cosy, quiet and 10 out of 10. We had two nights booked and after being on the park for one night we booked to stay longer. All round THE best trip away that we have experienced together.

Disliked: Pool could be open earlier.
