  • Family park half a mile from Coldingham Sands beach and watersports
  • Within 5 minutes' drive of St Abbs and Eyemouth; an hour to Edinburgh
  • Kids' club, indoor golf, outdoor play, chippy, spa and bar and grill
Find your way to Scoutscroft Leisure Park for adventures at the seaside or the city: this well-placed park is an easy half a mile from spectacular and award-winning Coldingham Bay beach and just over an hour’s drive from the sights and shops of Edinburgh. There’s loads to do on site too (this is a firmly family-friendly park), including indoor miniature golf, a kids’ club, a snooker room and an outdoor play area. Food and drink is sorted for all tastes too at the fish and chip takeaway for quick bites (perhaps on the beach…?) and the Sands bar and grill for breakfasts, lunches, evening eats, snacks and a wide selection of bevvies ranging from soft drinks to cider. Drink up, then drink in the scenery: Scoutscroft is close to the Berwickshire coast and the Scottish Borders, handily placed for weekends away or longer hols exploring sandy beaches and nature reserves. To take the excitement up a notch, watersports including surfing, kayaking, diving and bodyboarding are easily sorted from the park; elsewhere, days out at local port town St Abbs and harbour town Eyemouth are within less than 10 minutes’ drive. These places are also where you can pick up provisions at supermarkets… or simply meander between the two on a coastal hike.

Camping pod (superior)

Liked: Great location, pod was really good, clean and comfy

Disliked: Toilet block was extremely dated and was a little disappointed that the restaurant stopped selling food so early, I had phoned reception in the morning to ensure we would be able to eat on site

Camping pod (superior)

Liked: Surroundings.

Disliked: Quality of the matras. Toilets not functioning. No hot watre in the shower (functions after maintenance) A pod with two single beds and two chairs would be far more functional than another double bed.

Camping pod (superior)

Liked: The cabin was lovely, had everything we needed, staff were friendly and welcoming and the site and facilities were clean. Nice location in a sleepy little village, nearby beach and towns. Did not use the bar and restaurant so I can't really comment.

Disliked: Unfortunately the showers were cold

Camping pod (superior)

Liked: Pods were clean and comfortable and young lady at reception was very friendly and helped with my queries.

Disliked: Toilet/shower facilities need upgrading and a good clean! No hot water from any of the sinks with some taps loose/broken. Showers kept going hot and cold. Toilet door locks broken on some and one even without a door. No entertainment.

Camping pod (superior)

Liked: Loved the pod! Son said it was his best night away ever, nice area to explore. We really enjoyed the live acts in the bar area too!!

Disliked: Downside was the noise until early hours with kids on scooters, talking etc. also could do with a toilet a lot closer, even a portaloo next to pods for through the night. Was scared to leave my young son through the night as a solo parent for the toilets. Apart from this amazing stay!

Camping pod (superior)

Liked: Quiet and clean site in beautiful surroundings. 1/2 a mile woodland walk to the Coldingham bay beach. Short drive to Eyemouth and St Abbs. Stunning costal walks. The kids loved feeding the seals at Eyemouth. The pod was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back again and again now that we have found this hidden gem.
