What customers say

Great stopover, friendly staff, and excellent pub food. Limited facilities (pub toilets only, no showers) and some road noise, but good value and recommended for short stays.

Liked Very helpful staff looked after us to the best the food was fantastic
The camping area has waste disposal and clean water fill up and electric huck up
Lovely outside are to eat and drink

Disliked As beside very busy main road traffic noise a problem but there is space to park around the back of the building and the owner did point this out to us when we arrived as its only traffic in the early morning you would get over the noise

Primitive gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Friendly and welcoming. Lovely one night stop over travelling. Staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and then tucked in for the night which was peaceful and quiet. Definitely, a good stop over place to park up the campervan.

Liked La electricidad funciona.

Disliked No es un camping. Es simplemente un aparcamiento de un restaurante al lado de una carretera con mucho tráfico incluso de noche.

Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Inexpensive

Disliked This is not a camp site, it is a pub car park with water and hook up only. It only has pub toilets which are only available during pub hours. There were no other facilities - nowhere for rubbish, nowhere for waste water, no washing up facilities. No awning or outdoor cooking permitted.
Additionally it is located directly on the busy N22 with considerable traffic noise.

Liked Friendly staff and food was really good. I had a really tasty seafood pie and my husband went for the steak sandwich which he said was delicious.

Disliked Only thing was the noise from the traffic. It is right beside a very busy road .

Local attractions

A big draw here is the site’s proximity to Killarney National Park. There are lots of great walks around here, including woodland routes and waterfall walks, plus mountain clambers for the more adventurous visitor. Killarney Kayaking (15 minutes’ drive) can sort you with days of paddling across lakes and rivers, or you can take a more sedate trip with Gap of Dunloe Traditional Boat Tours (15 minutes). The area is also dotted with historical buildings to visit – Muckross House (15 minutes) is probably one of the best, with a traditional schoolhouse, craft centre and petting farm as well as the Victorian mansion and its lovely gardens. Full of friendly animals, Kennedys Pet Farm (two minutes) is a handy close-by outing for young kids; if you’re in more of a grown-up party you may prefer some time at the Irish Whiskey Experience (15 minutes). For evening entertainment, there’s usually live music going on in at least one of the pubs in Killarney (10 minutes); you may also find major events happening at the Gleneagle Arena (INEC) (10 minutes).
