  • Basic but scenic wild camping site on a small farm and fishery
  • A 10-minute drive from Garvagh Forest; half an hour from the coast
  • Trout fishery and walkways on site; barbecues/ and firepits permitted
Bundle your mountain biking and fishing gear together for Burts One Night Stands… this is a peaceful spot for a basic break in Co. Londonderry on the foothills of The Sperrins, 10 minutes’ drive from Garvagh Forest where purpose-built mountain biking trails and forest walks make a real outdoorsy day out under the treetops. Wild camping is the way of living on this site. Not for fancy campervans, this site is basic but scenic with barbecues, campfires and dogs allowed. There are simple facilities including a toilet block. Most importantly, here, you won’t be rushed to move along, meaning you’ll have all the more time to spend on the site. There's plenty to do on site, as the site is part of a small farm and fishery in the hamlet of Glenullin. That means you’ll have a trout fishery and wooded walkways at your fingertips, plus some farm animals wandering around. Views are quite dishy here, as the site looks out over County Antrim, with Slemish to the east and the glens of Antrim to the north. Then, of course, Garvagh Forest’s treetops may be picked out in the distance too (the town and its shops, museum, restaurants and pubs, five minutes’ drive away, are hidden behind).
