Lovely, wild feel to campsite, would stay here again in a flash.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A rough and ready farm campsite with good, clean facilities and a lovely, welcoming reception. Really nice addition to have kettle/toaster/sofa in social room, really above and beyond.
Thank you for a lovely stay.
Disliked Not keen on rubbish disposal being so close to the playground area.

From the manager: Thank you Hannah,
We do hope you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your lovely review.
We have looked into having a Biffa type bin but are pretty stuck how to encourage recycling 🤷♀️
Noted, bins might be better off in the gateway
Cheers

Lovely site with friendly owner and close to Clevedon and Portishead
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely quiet site with plenty of space per pitch. Having a fire pit to roast marshmallows was the highlight for the children along with the trampoline! Lovely and close to Portishead Lido, Clevedon Marine Lake and Tyntesfield which we filled our days with. All the facilities we needed and such a lovely touch to have shower gel etc available- although we used ours as had packed it! Emma was a delight and her and Chris are trying to hard to provide everything for everybody for only one month a year! The children loved seeing the animals and were devastated to hear why rabbits and Guinea pigs weren’t there to pet.
Disliked We found one shower perfectly acceptable and I personally wouldn’t spend any extra money on installing more but what could be done is dividing the two areas of the building so one door is for the shower and toilet and the other door for the kitchen area. That way the building can be used more efficiently and people sitting on the sofa in the kitchen area drinking their coffee can stay there whilst the shower is being used and the fridge and washing up still accessed?

From the manager: Cheers Rachel,
So glad to hear you guys had a lovely stay.
That's a great idea for the hut, thank you for your ideas. It really isn't cost effective to install another shower as would need to change the electricity supply too, would definitely need to be open for longer than a month to justify.
Anybody is welcome to pet our baby furries, if I'm around, with adult supervision of course. We are just so sick of the cruelty they have to endure by unsupervised children. Not just the pets, all the animals have had rocks thrown at them, fish removed from the tank etc, we can't understand it. Anyhow rant over, (sorry).
We are very lucky with our location, hope to see you all again soon
