definitely recommend this site was a nice small site quiet & friendly
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The friendliness of mario who greeted us . The use of the fridge freezer to recharge cold blocks and store food . We liked the view out onto the fields peaceful small site . Colourful toilet doors . Good hot water in shower . Great recycling ethos well marked bins .
Disliked Washing up area open to the elements was ok for us but luckily dry weather . Could do with a few more signs on the road. The directions on pitch up are from One Direction, but we came from the other and I totally missed the entrance for the campsite..so it then ages to find it. Had to knock on a local person’s door . Maybe use what three words in directions ?? (It’s a fantastic app used by emergency services 👍

Liked Its a nice basic site to get away and chill out.
Disliked Sad to say the stench from the sewage system was quite unpleasant this visit, definitely not the farm animals but human.
In addition most toilet doors wouldn't lock (dropped hinges).

Great campsite if you want peace and quiet or want to see history!
Powered grass campsite
Liked Lovely campsite, clean facilities. Big pitches. Electric hookup all included in price and close by. Really dog friendly (kept on leads) dogs can go everywhere with you which was great as didn’t like leaving them by the tent. Only thing I personally didn’t appreciate was the naked women strolling around thought that was a bit unnecessary but that’s not really campsite fault. Can’t help who turns up
Disliked In a very quiet location and not really near anything fun to do unless you’re very interested in history but I didn’t quite realise where it was before I booked it. Can’t help but wonder how they can charge nearly £200 for a bit of electric for a week and a grass field. WiFi stopped working on our 2nd to last day. We left a day early.
