What customers say
A peaceful, adult-only campsite near a welcoming pub. Spacious, mostly level pitches, good facilities (some need updates). The pub offers great, affordable food and large portions. Perfect for Exmoor exploration, it's great value with a relaxed vibe. Many want to return.

Excellent site for a few days get-away
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Early season stay, loads of room and quiet. A gently slope in our part of the camp, but easily leveled with ramps. Cheerful and thoroughly helpful greeting on arrival. Great dog walk field. A great bunch of fellow visitors too.
The Raleigh Cross Inn is a fabulous Inn, fantastic food, first class friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay
Camp amenities were basic and clean.
Disliked Only one of the sinks with a mirror had a plug, it was quiet so luckily didn't have to wait to shave. I expect this will be sorted soon.

I was the only tent there…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked I was the only tent there for 2 nights so loved the space. I went for a couple of days quiet on my own and certainly got that, listening to the birds, black birds, song thrush, chaffinch, chiff chaff, robins, wrens, wagtails and buzzard overhead.
Nice clean toilets, very warm shower.
I didn't drink their beer or eat their food so can't comment.
Disliked Can't comment about noise as there weren't any other tents, but it's a big site. I only knocked a star off because the breakfast is served to B&B guests staying in the pub first at 0800. Camp site and general public have to wait until 0900 for some reason. I was turned away at 8.45. I did go away and come back but it made you feel a bit 2nd class.

Ok for one night.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Plenty of space to choose from.
Pub was handy with nice food.
Disliked Womens' toilets were out of order. Unisex toilets were not very nice with huge space under doors, not particularly high doors, not particularly clean and no toilet paper. Showers in toilet block didn't look very nice, but I didn't make use of them.

A nice site with a lovely pub and lovely food.
Powered grass and earth campsite
Liked Nice and spacious pitches. Pub is very nice and the food was delicious.
Disliked One shower was out of order at the time of my stay so wasnt able to have a shower when i wanted one due to all other cubicles filled and i tried a few times to go back but was still not available. Also the toilets in the ladies was not flushing, i tried all of them and none of them flushed leaving alot of nasty stuff that previous people has done but then couldnt flush away. They also said they had wifi but it didnt work and even inside the pub it didnt work so that is definitely something that need updating or stronger signal.
