Powered grass and gravel tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Really well kept campsite, park next to your allocated pitch, burners and stoves/BBQs to use, hot shower and tidy toilets. The slide is fun too. Staff were also very friendly l, great place to stay, close to Longleat, Lilly's cider brewery and about a half hour drive to Stonehenge

The Hollow camping pod (pet friendly)

Liked: Amazing accommodation with the bonus of a secure private outside space which was very much appreciated by our puppy. Was able to watch bats fly around the garden and spotted a barn owl fly over. Lovely and clean and tidy, friendly hosts and great facilities!

Powered grass and gravel tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Beautiful facilities, the picnic benches with each pitch is a great addition. Very child safe with electric gates. Well maintained pitches, we have already booked again.

Disliked: The only recommendation would be a slightly different flooring when you step out the shower, maybe a wooden slatted base or something to stand on that feels better than the concrete.

From the manager: Many thanks for your lovely review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and happy that you have booked again! We completely agree with your comment and we have now placed a wooded slatted base down. We appreciate this feedback and we're always more than happy to rectify any issues. Kindest regards Natalie and Matt

Powered grass and gravel RV campsite

Liked: Ok so its a pretty little field with some nice little apple trees and a scattering of picnic benches (for those without the car camping comforts of tables and chairs) and firepits. Its a small site but the downside of a small site is that if there is a large noisy group, you cant escape them. As there was when we visited, a large group were in the cabins at the bottom of the field and we had to move our tent in the middle of the night to get as far away from them as possible. I guess this is a potential problem on any campsite but I thought a small one like this might not attract or allow large groups. However even without other people, the noise from the main road, the Frome ring road, is constant, with lorries, boy racers, motorbikes all through the evening and sporadically through the night... tranquil countryside camping this is not! I was impressed with the facilities though, nice clean toilets, washing up area, fridge, plenty of covered space if you need shelter from the rain. One final disappointment was the sudden and unannounced withdrawal of food availability as talked about on this site. This was a factor in deciding to come here and there was nothing to say this had stopped (on their facebook page/website etc).
