Liked: The touring site was quiet when we visited but a lot of statics were occupied. Staff were excellent and very friendly. We used the Lodge bar and restaurant a couple of times. The food was good and were big portions. The site is located about half way between Cheddar and Wells, approximately 5 miles each way, so plenty to see and do. There is a bus stop right outside the site if you want a break from driving. The toilet block on the area we were pitched on was being refurbished and other improvements were being made. All in all we had a great stay, made even better by good sunny weather.
Disliked: Nothing really

Liked: Good location at the foot of the Mendip Hills with good road access. Reasonably priced bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Excellent speed on the Wi-Fi .
Disliked: We have discussed our issue with the park manager. We were allocated to pitch 214 which was literally next to the play park and bar with no barrier in between. Hence noise when in a tent was significant and our pitch became an extension to the play park. The reason for the proximity of this pitch is that it appears camping pitches were removed to make the playground and outside seating area for the bar. I would suggest avoiding pitch 214, if like us, you are a couple seeking a more quiet countryside experience.
