Liked: Very friendly staff.nice peaceful site but then there was only about 10 pitches being used.

Disliked: Showers were clean and tidy, would have preferred individual booths and the water didn't always stay hot. Couldn't find a ground level waste water point so had to use the quirky chemical toilet which meant lifting the water container up onto the pedestal .

Liked: Grant was helpful, and I don't know much about caravanning. As it was my first time to a caravan site. We enjoyed our time there and will be back for more. Lots to see and do around the area, i.e. seasides and castles. so easy for us to leave caravan there, and go for a drive. Very flexible to have a mobile number to call Grant, to ask questions.

Disliked: Showers - temperature kept changing from hot to cold to warm. All 3 showers the same. Some campervan guests very loud up to almost midnight.

Powered grass campsite

Liked: The campsite was lovely, facilities were nice and clean and was able to have a hot shower whenever we needed. The guys that run the site are proper friendly and happy to help us out with anything. Overall a gorgeous little campsite and a perfect location for Durdle Door & Lulworth Cove. Will be coming back next year - hopefully without the continuous torrential rain this time!

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Very clean, great ample sized pitches. Showers and toilet facilities modern and clean. I think the only small issue was that the pitches were quite gravely, so putting tent pegs in was a struggle. But over all we had a great weekend.

Local attractions

If you’re into all things vehicular, start your local exploration at The Tank Museum, 10 minutes’ drive away – the collection of more than 300 tanks (including Little Willie, the world’s first) is renowned as the world’s finest. Follow up with a steam-powered ride on the Swanage Railway (25 minutes away). As you ride the rails, you’ll pass the ruins of Corfe Castle, built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror – it’s about 15 minutes from the site if you’d like to take a closer look. A mile or so up the road from the castle is the cute Wareham Bears, where more than 200 teddies live in a model village. For real-life animal antics, take the 10-minute drive to Monkey World to see the apes that found TV fame in the UK as stars of the Monkey Life. And one can't ignore the Jurassic Coast – it’ll take you 20 minutes or so to drive to some of its most stunning sights, including Lulworth Cove, Man O’War beach and the giant stone arch Durdle Door. A walk on the South West Coast Path is an excellent way to take it all in, or you could try paddleboarding, sea kayaking or coasteering to get a different view.
