Emma's Glade primitive grass tent or campervan campsite (no pets, wild)
Liked: Wonderful campsite, liked the spacious pitches with scattered oak trees and a pond round the corner. The bar and shop were well equipped and the food vans a great idea. Facilities were modern and clean.
Disliked: Would be nice if the bar stayed open another hour or 2.

From the manager: Thank you for the top score. Emma's glade is a lovely camping spot. We do only open the bar between 4pm and 8pm on purpose. We are a campsite that is part of Tranquil parks. The bar is for a early evening 'sun-downer drink'. If we stayed open till later we would become more of a pub, and that is not what we are trying to create. Hope this makes sense. Many thanks

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite
Liked: Excellent sized pitches with good toilet block facilities, a useful site shop and bar, makes a very nice welcome. Very helpful and friendly staff, a clean site which blended into beautiful surroundings. Dog friendly, a large open forest area dedicated for dogs and waste bins. Useful information but with plenty of leaflets on local walks, cycling and other attractions.

Primitive grass campsite (pet friendly)
Liked: The facilities and ground were so well kept and clean, the bar was really nice with very friendly staff. The food truck that came in the evening was really lovely and all round just an excellent stay. Great atmosphere would definitely recommend, we had our dog with us and there was water stations and hooks for leads so very dog friendly.
Disliked: Pitches quite close together but wasn’t an issue for us as we had no one next to us when we stayed.

From the manager: Thank you Rachel for the great review and recommendation. So pleased your stay was so nice. The damson area you stayed on is very spacious with lots of grass areas. Each pitch is 10 meter square at the smallest so I would not say close together. We generally get comments on how spacious the park is. However, next time if you want more space try Emma's glade, which is not laid out pitches and you can go where you wish. many thanks

Emma's Glade primitive grass tent or campervan campsite (no pets, wild)
Liked: Friendliness. Cleanliness. Helpfulness. Cheerfulness. Monty's Bar as a meeting point, happy hour and the food vans - especially the fish and chips. No children's noise - just the chirping of the birds. Good walks nearby
Disliked: Overly 'bossy' / official T+Cs we had prior to the stay which did not reflect the mood of the campsite at all
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you Debra for the 10/10 review. The T&Cs are very important and we have been careful in what we pt in them over the 10 years we have owned the park. They are there due to bad experiences with previous guests so they are in place for our and other customers protection. If you read them you will see our reasons for having them in place. That is why the park runs well and you did not have any issues during your stay.
