Liked: The scenery, nature and wildlife was stunning, beautiful views with great walks from the site. A rope swing to keep the kids busy, along with games in the barn if weather is tricky. Owners very helpful and work hard to make this campsite special, fresh flowers, fairy lights in the barn, keeping everything spotless, giving us all the info we needed to explore the beautiful surroundings. An outstanding campsite, we’ll be back!
Disliked: Nothing. Possibly a little guide to help walkers navigate the incredible grounds would be a bonus- although it’s a great place to get lost!

Liked: Fabulous site that we have returned to. Spacious pitches, we had our camper van on the hill which was lovely. Lovely and peaceful with great facilities. We loved the pizza night in the barn and will be back again.

Liked: Love this place - have stayed more than once. Matt and Frida so welcoming and friendly. If you stay here you HAVE to see the old orchard - planted around 1943 by Matt's great Grandfather....honestly it's something else - no sounds except birds and humming of insects. And Biscuit the dog is pure class.
Disliked: NOTHING!

Liked: Beautiful site, lots of space between pitches. The location is stunning, with walks to hilltop and through woodlands on site. Clean facilities, and a lovely barn with wood burner and kitchen to use in the evening. It was very peaceful, just birdsong and the breeze. Friendly and helpful owner.
Disliked: Another loo might be useful for the morning rush!

Liked: We were looking for a place to escape the world, to find peace and quiet, and just breathe. This place was perfect. The shared barn and kitchen was a lovely extra touch. Clean toilets. Well spaced out pitches so you don't feel on top of each other. Good food in the nearby pub with a lovely walk across the fields to get there. Loved every minute and didn't want to leave.
Disliked: Arrival was a little uncomfortable as no signs at the main house to tell you where to find the owner to check in. Then was told to follow them into the field to the pitches but without our campervan. Having read online that cars were not allowed on pitches, I panicked that I'd booked us a tent only Campsite and driven 3 hours to then not be able to stay! Turned out it was so we could be shown the pitches and choose one in advance of driving up (very nice to have the option) but this wasn't explained until I questioned it. A little explanation on greeting would have helped.

From the manager: Hi Jemma. So sorry you found it hard to find us. We do send all our bookings an email with detailed instructions on how to find us and how to make contact with us upon arrival! Those who read the confirmation email find us generally without complications. Campervans are naturally allowed on pitches- with tents we recommend the designated car park couple of minutes walk away in prefer to keep the wild feel of the site.
