  • Countryside park on 500 acres, 15 minutes' drive from Woolacombe
  • Woodland walks, nature trails, pool and riding centre on site
  • Five camping fields and five spacious amenities blocks
Life’s little stresses getting you down? Want to stow yourself away for a countryside break where everything is close to your pitch? Come along to Combe Martin’s Stowford Farm Meadows in north Devon for a bit of de-stressing in a rural setting: the park is a mile from the main road down its own private drive and is a well-placed base from which to explore the best of Devon. Set among 500 acres of Devon woodland and meadows, Stowford Farm Meadows falls into the category of ‘very large’ sites – but fear not if your tastes tend towards the more solitary, as the park is divided into five separate camping and caravan fields and feels like several small sites rolled into one. The overall size means there are heaps of facilities and activities for you to try your hand at, from cantering around on horseback with the help of the on-site riding centre, to driving the kids crazy with your swish moves at the crazy golf. Looking for something a bit quieter? There are marked woodland walks into the wildlife-rich Bittadon valley, with nature trails starting and finishing on site. A heated indoor pool is available for a small extra charge. For putting feet up or letting hair down, the site has two bars (with evening entertainment in peak season), a café, on-site takeaway and a carvery on Sundays. For supplies, Stowford Farm Meadows has a licensed well-stocked shop and for your caravan and camping accessories. And finally? Even the dog will de-stress here, with a friendly welcome and a spacious dog-walking area on site…

Liked: Really enjoyed our stay, nice big pitches, great facilities just a shame about the rain... ;)

Disliked: Wonder if it would be possible to have a specific area for the tents rather than being amongst the Caravan's.

Liked: Camp site is very pleasant, clean and park is for children of all ages even though a swing was missing.Walks are very longs and lovely .

Disliked: Peturama was shut and was told that wouldn't be opening as after 28yrs of being open no longer required.Horses also not available. Been told there going to be doing more statics than tents. Also not alot of choice of kids meals and drinks .No fresh orange juice or apple juice with breakfast menus on any days. Also no entertainment for family's. Also had to pay for swimming separately and had to book no slots available.

Liked: Some beautiful scenery and nice walks. The main facilities and the field we were on were gorgeous. The field we were on was clean and tidy. We had a large pitch which we thought was fantastic, it allowed children to play close by, and the ground was well prepared (for a tent - no rocks). Peaceful site (our field anyway), not lots of noise and people were respectful of one another. Overall, the staff we're friendly and polite. Good bathroom facilities.

Disliked: Water supply issues. There was a vast difference between some fields, felt lucky with our pitch as some looked unkept and messy, loud and unruly when we went for a walk. Swimming pool etiquette - This is where people lost all respect and regard for others, children and adults included. Complete free for all, staff took no notice which was disappointing. Dirty changing rooms.
