Plenty of space and fantastic views
Fantastic sunsets

  • Simple Cornwall site with fabulous views over Bodmin Moor
  • Tintagel Castle and Trebarwith Strand beach 20 minutes' drive
  • Huge pitches with firepits to hire; popular pub across the road
Yes indeed, there’s an amazing view at Helluva View Camping. In fact, it’s not just one view, but a sweeping panorama across Bodmin Moor, providing a lovely backdrop for all pitches. This is a particularly fine place to be at sunset, but the views carry on into the night, because Bodmin Moor is an International Dark Sky Landscape and therefore a fabulous location for a night of stargazing. It may be the views that first captured your attention, but there’s more to this Cornwall site than just its good looks. The pitches are pleasingly spacious (huge, you might even say) with lots of room to set up your camping chairs, gazebo, awning and other bits and bobs. There’s also plenty of space for kids to run around and play games safely, and for grownups to light barbecues or firepits (the latter available to hire on site if you don't have your own). As an off-grid site, the facilities here are on the simple side – you’ll have access to traditional (and eco-friendly) long-drop toilets, a washing-up sink and a cold shower for a refreshing rinse. Snacks and other supplies can be picked up at the village shop (about 10 minutes’ walk away) and there’s a popular local pub just over the road for homemade meals and local ales (how very handy…). Getting out to explore Bodmin Moor should be top of your list of activities, of course – perhaps walking, cycling or horse riding through the scenery. There are heaps more places to visit nearby though, from ancient castles to sandy beaches to family theme parks… you’re very unlikely ever to run out of things to do…
