  • Eco-friendly coastal glamping site on the Rame Peninsula, Cornwall
  • A couple minutes' drive from the beach; Looe 25 minutes' drive
  • Smartly furnished units with breakfast baskets available
For swish stays on Cornwall's Rame Peninsula, head to Tregantle Farm Glampsite, where the freedom of coastal camping meets the comfort and style of a boutique hotel. This smart glamping site in Freathy near Torpoint is a couple minutes' drive from the nearest beach and has private access to the beach on foot, taking 10 to 15 minutes. Located at the end of a country lane, it is a very peaceful place to stay. Each glamping tent here comes with very comfy beds with sprung mattresses and high-quality linen bedclothes, helping you to get a good night's sleep as you drift off to the sounds of nature and the distant swell of the sea. In the morning, breakfast baskets are available with organic and locally-sourced goodies to kick-start your day – after which all of Cornwall is yours for the exploring… This quiet corner of the county is surrounded by characterful fishing villages, long sandy beaches and peaceful country footpaths but is still within easy reach of cities like Plymouth (half an hour's drive) and popular seaside resort towns like Looe (25 minutes). Upon your return to base, you'll have plenty of room to relax in your private decking area, surrounded by subtropical palm trees and twinkling fairy lights. A firepit is also included for alfresco meals, or to keep you cosy and warm on those chillier coastal evenings.

Local attractions

The Rame Peninsula is well-located for city day trips to Plymouth (30 minutes' drive), where you can browse big-brand shops, explore Hoe Park and take in the coastal views or head to the National Marine Aquarium to learn more about the secretive aquatic creatures that live offshore. Plymouth also has cinemas, bowling and the gorgeous Tinside Lido, an open-air swimming pool in a scenic coastal location. For more beaches, Whitsand Bay (five minutes) is a seven-mile sandy arc that's backed by gorgeous footpaths, all of which is just down the road from the twin fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand (both 10 minutes). Staying on the peninsula, you could explore the green grounds and sea views at Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park (15 minutes) or the rugged coastline around St Michael's Chapel on Rame Head (10 minutes). Lots of major Cornish attractions are also within reach, whether you're heading for the old fishing village of Looe (25 minutes), the giant geodesic domes at the Eden Project (50 minutes), Bodmin Moor (30 minutes) or Tintagel Castle (an hour and 15 minutes).
