  • Scenic site filled with flowers under 10 minutes' drive from Newquay
  • Two lakes for coarse fishing plus nature reserve
  • Heated pool, crazy golf, playgrounds, games room and licensed shop
It’s easy to see why so many people come back to Trevella Holiday Park every year. Set just outside of Newquay, under 10 minutes' drive from its centre, this fabulously floral site has been giving a warm welcome for more than 50 years. The grounds are blooming lovely, with fishing lakes filled with lilies and a wide range of facilities. Little buds can shoot around the heated outdoor pool, paddling pool, crazy golf, games room and playgrounds for different ages. There’s free coarse fishing in the two lakes, a pretty nature reserve to explore and a licensed shop on site, too. The roomy pitches sit within handsome parkland with access to high-quality amenities, including family bathrooms, baby changing and a laundry room. As well as being near to lively Newquay, Trevella Holiday Park is in a good spot for beach days. The nearest is Crantock beach, five minutes' drive away. Perran Sands, Holywell beach and Perranporth beach are all within a 15-minute drive of the site.

What customers say

This large, well-kept campground offers spacious sites and a family vibe. Guests rave about clean facilities, friendly staff, and proximity to Newquay/Crantock Beach. The Piskie Inn pub and food truck are hits. While most loved their stay, some mentioned noise at peak times, dated amenities, and occasional issues with pitch conditions/Wi-Fi.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Lots of facilities all very clean and well kept

Disliked A few too many "rules" - perhaps necessary given the size of the operation but for a single night camp on a long hike it all came across as a bit officious.

Liked I loved the park very much. It was my first time in Cornwall. It was a great base to explore lands end, Penzance, Truro, St Austell and megavisse and others. The on site shop was amazingly cheap given its location. The pisskee Inn top banana!

Disliked I had my tent broken into. also my doggy was kidnapped outside lidl in Newquay.. Which put the dampers on the holiday. But these have no reflection on the park

Liked Everything. The pitches were well watered and reasonably flat, the staff were great and there was no holiday camp "inflation" like we have seen at other places. There was a nice little food stall and bar and the site was very family friendly. The toilet blocks and showers were clean and plentiful and the whole site had a nice family feel to it. We all enjoyed the sessions at the pool which was clean and well maintained. There is a bus stop right outside reception that runs to Crantock beach, Newquay and Truro which means we didn't need the car to go anywhere. We will definitely be coming back

Disliked Nothing

Liked The site was kept clean & tidy. We can’t wait to return we loved it. The staff were lovely & friendly, we had an issue with our motorhome which we had to get break down out , the 2 ladies on reception were a great help. They are an asset to the company. Sorry ladies I forgot to get your names.

Disliked Constant dog barking it’s so annoying, I don’t know if the owners go out and leave them or it’s just they’ve got no control over their pets.

Liked Plenty of space, fantastic location as we walked everywhere. The Piskie Inn onsite was great. Shop with all essential items in & good opening hours. Friendly staff in the shop which is always nice

Disliked The Piskie Inn opening hours are just a little short, it doesn’t need to open later than 10pm and could be a strict 9.30pm last orders with a 10pm clear the bar, one night it didn’t open but there were no signs to inform anyone of this. Couldn’t control the temperature of the showers. Showers in the first field could do with shelves & a screen in each cubicle to stop your clothes from getting wet.

Local attractions

A quick meander along the verdant country lanes and pathways around Trevella can lead in various directions: a historic smugglers’ inn, a beach, Crantock’s thatched cottages and pretty village church, or to the Gannel estuary to fish, paddle, birdwatch or make the short hop on the ferry to Newquay. The latter probably needs no introduction, but on top of its famous beaches, it has a zoo, aquarium, farm park, boating lake and miniature railway – plus swimming pools (with flumes) and golf courses. This being Cornwall, visitors will find no shortage of ace attractions less than an hour away. Recommendations include losing oneself in the gardens at Heligan, taking in an atmospheric show at the open-air Minack Theatre, on the cliffs overlooking the sea; heading into the Eden Project’s massive crater, to examine the exotic flora in the jaw-dropping megadomes; and some painterly perusal at the Tate Gallery in St Ives. Then there are adventure parks, National Trust properties and open gardens galore; plus a lively programme of local land- and sea-based events, from festivals to carnivals, and regattas to traditional Cornish gig racing.
