  • Family-friendly park two miles from the Newquay seafront
  • On 80 acres of parkland in the Cornwall countryside
  • Pool complex, four eateries, play areas and an entertainment venue
If you're taking the family to Cornwall, you should find that Hendra Holiday Park is a mightily handy base. Spread across 80 acres of parkland two miles from the Newquay seafront, the family-owned park is very much family-friendly. Surrounded by the Cornwall countryside, it's also within 10 minutes' drive of a handful of beaches should you want to spend the day on the sand or surfing. Fistral beach, 10 minutes' drive away, is especially handy for the latter. On site, the aforementioned family-friendly facilities begin with the Oasis Fun Pools which has three flumes (yes, three) and an indoor pool. At mealtimes, there are four on-site eateries to choose from. There's also an entertainment venue, a ninja assault course and an adventure golf course where kids can let off any remaining steam. Indoor soft play and outdoor playgrounds add to the list of family activities.

From the manager: Thank you for your 10 out of 10. We are pleased that you liked the helpful staff and good facilities. We are sorry that you found there were too many e-bikes and e-scooters. We had noticed this too, and you will pleased to know that we have now banned these from the site to make it safer. We hope to see you again soon.

Liked: Loved this site, the facilities was great, my children loved the train ride with Henry. Shower and toilet facilities was good, the showers was nice and warm.

Disliked: We was on a slope, which made our time abit stressful, as everything kept rolling, my children kept falling off their chairs.

From the manager: Thank you for your top rating. It is great that your children loved the train and our resident hippos, Henry and Henrietta; they will be so happy to hear this! We are pleased that you liked the shower facilities too. We are sorry that the pitch location wasn’t ideal. We would have tried to move you if you had said and there was availability. If you do come again, which we hope you do, we could place you on a more suitable pitch.

Powered grass campsite

Liked: Great pitches, great facilities, first class entertainment, lots of staff around so the site is really clean and tidy and no long waits at the bar or restaurant. Great location to get out and explore.

Disliked: Some of the rules are a bit OTT, for example no balls in the outdoor pool, even small soft balls, something to do with a risk assessment 🤷 Phone signal is poor and the Wifi isn’t great, not a problem for us as we we’re happy to put our phones away for the week but some may find it annoying

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your great review. We are glad that you liked the pitches, entertainment, cleanliness and location. We will pass on your comments about the pool rules and are always keen to make sure the balance of safety and fun is right. We hope you will stay again.

Liked: Very nice and clean place showers and toilets spotless at all times. Lots to do for the boys. We spent every day giving the most fun we could for our kids but a night we wanted to have a few beers at the bars but there was no Budweiser or any beers we recognised so we took some Budweiser from our tent to walk over to get some food and got stopped by security and told we can’t drink our own beer we told them we don’t mind spending the money in the bars but they have no decent drinks in the bars for us so it cost us a good 600 pounds giving the kids some fun and at the end of long hot day we should have been able to have a few beers while eating with everyone else just seems like a greedy place because they want you to spend ur money there of course but there bars are terrible drink wise they need a better range and to put signs up saying u cannot drink your own drink walking around not good getting stopped by security twice in front of everyone. Out door pool is brilliant for all the family and the kids 4x4 track was the best for the boysx

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased that your boys enjoyed the pool and 4x4s. We do understand your frustration, but you can only consume beer bought at the bars whilst eating in our Venues, which is standard practice in most places. We do have a limited bar at The Deck Bar but hope to expand the selection in the future. We will pass on your feedback about the beer selection.
