  • Peaceful motorhome pitches at a research garden near Falmouth
  • Trebah Garden and Glendurgan Gardens both 10 minutes' drive
  • Adults-only motorhome pitches; village pub and shop a walk away
Where would you need to travel to in order to find a motorhome pitch surrounded by exotic crops like Chilean guavas, Asian pears, kiwi fruits, Vietnamese coriander and loquats? Why, Cornwall, of course… More specifically, you’d need to book a pitch at The Forest Garden, in a quiet spot about 10 minutes’ drive from the centre of Falmouth. This adults-only motorhome site is part of a property that’s dedicated to researching which foreign crops can thrive in south-west England as well as growing native crops. Intrigued by these exciting food options? The site owners can organise private tours and tasting sessions for a small extra charge if you’re interested in learning more. The rest of the time, you’ll just be able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that comes from being surrounded by well-kept gardens and mature banks of trees. As well as being peaceful, the pitches here are of a decent size, with plenty of space to set up your outdoor furniture, awning and gazebos. It’s a very simple setup on the services and facilities front, but you will have access to a compost toilet and a water supply. Local facilities are handily close by too – there’s a bus stop a few minutes’ walk away and the village of Budock Water is about 15 minutes’ walk for a pub, a shop and a couple of restaurants. Beyond that, there’s a farm shop 10 minutes’ cycle away, and Falmouth has plenty to offer for both everyday essentials (like shops) and activities (like beach days or ferry rides to St Mawes.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked The host!!! We loved Simon - so friendly, funny and interesting. He gave us great advice and a very interesting tour of his garden and explained his growing philosophy.

There is a lovely wild garden “Penjerrick Garden” in walking distance that is well worth the visit.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked Good little pop up site overlooking forest garden. Short walk to single toilet and fresh water tap in parking area. Simon offers an interesting tour of the naturally sustainable garden. A timber framed building sits above the garden in a visitors area under construction. Lovely area with good walks and other gardens, beautiful country hotel next door and Trelly pub a mile away.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt RV campsite

Liked We stayed for 2 nights, the surroundings are very peaceful being situated on the outskirts of the garden. Simon gave us a tour of the garden one morning which was extremely interesting and engaging, highly recommend. The campsite benefits from a close proximity to Falmouth, we took the bus that goes past the campsite entrance. Lastly, Simon the host was very attentive and friendly - even lending us some levelling chocks as our campervan was on a slope. Thanks so much!
