  • Family-friendly site on spectacular Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coast
  • Less than two miles from the beaches and surf spots of Bude
  • Seven acres of scenic countryside for walks and dog walking
Pack those hiking boots, make sure cameras are fully charged and snag yourself a stay at Willow Valley Camping Park, a family-friendly site in the Cornish village of Bush, five minutes’ drive from the coastal town of Bude – you’ll most definitely want to put those legs to good use. The site is on the stunning Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coast, with sandy beaches to stroll along, cliff walks to follow and plenty of spectacular treats to stumble on during travels, like the clifftop village of Clovelly, where cars are banned and donkeys are the main mode of transport. The fab long-distance South West Coast Path passes through Bude too, so lengthier rambles are within easy reach. There’s a fair share of exploration to do on site too if a day at base appeals: seven acres of walks to wander (and dog walks as well, so bring pooch along), and a spacious adventure play park for the kids if they need a bit of distraction or grownups need a chance to unwind. A small on-site shop will keep moods up during high season, taking the stress out of packing by stocking the basic essentials and giving little sugar bursts as needed (check out the selection of treats to get that all-essential fix). For more substantial fare, Bude has plenty of options for local eats.

What customers say

This well-rated campsite boasts friendly staff & super clean facilities, including showers. Pitches are spacious & level, with many enjoying the peaceful vibe. Conveniently near Bude & beaches. Some road noise on A39 pitches & a few dated facilities noted, but cleanliness is top-notch.

Power optional grass campsite

Liked Everything but in particular the showers. Travelling with a 3 year old who only likes baths not showers is rather challenging but the family showers with a child size one next to the adult one was genius and my 3 year old finally enjoyed a shower. This site has everything you can think of and I made good use of the wetsuit wash area and laundry which were added bonus'

Bell tent

Liked Great site, with friendly owners. We stayed in one of the Bell tents. These are perfect if like us it was a stop off on a larger road trip. They come complete with comfortable beds, heater, kettle, and a hamper of cutlery. Welcome box of biscuits and drinks. Out side there is a cool station and a log burner great for sitting out late toasting marshmallows whilst watching the bats fly around. Site is great with clean and well maintained toilets, showers and wash stations. Also includes areas to bath a dog and wash down wet suits etc. located outside of Bude but close enough for all the shops and amenities. Great location for exploring the area. This was our second year on the site, the owners had recently taken over last year and the additions they’ve made are really nice. Highly recommend a stay and we will be back…..

Power optional grass campsite

Liked Such a lovely little campsite, super friendly owners, well kept site, clean facilities! We really loved this site, really family friendly! Great facilities too! Site was close to supermarkets and bude beach.

Disliked We was not keen on the chippy van, the chips was not proper chippy chips, more like frozen chips cooked in deep fat fryer, however not a reflection of the campsite as it is a separate company but personally would not recommend the chippy van.

Power optional cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Absolutely amazing site!!! The facilities were super clean and just lovely. The pitches were really spacious and beautifully kept. There was lots of different stay types available making it suitable for any persons.
However the best thing was the owners of the park themselves, they were the most friendly helpful people we’ve ever come across. During our stay our van broke down, Becky & John went above and beyond trying to sort this for us so as we would be able to continue with our van break. Honestly just an amazing family, amazing holiday park - cannot recommend enough!

Power optional grass campsite

Liked The site was lovely and a good base to explore the area. The shower block and toilets were near to our tent and kept clean. The owners were really friendly and helpful.

Disliked The pitch we had was a bit muddy from the previous campers. Our pitch was by the play area and the main driveway. Wasn’t a problem really but if we stayed longer it might not have been ideal.

Liked The site was small but beautiful. The field up through the back is amazing and the view is beautiful. The staff are easy to talk to and understanding and help out as much as possible to make your stay even more amazing. The wash area and bathrooms were good and clean perfect for everyday use.

Bell tent

Liked We stayed in the St Ednoc bell tent and found the site to be beautifully clean and very well presented. The welcome pack, private cooking stove, chiminea, seating and ice box meant we had everything we needed. The showers were very clean and good pressure, plenty of hot water. Very welcoming and helpful hosts. It felt like they had thought of absolutely everything. We loved our stay here and highly recommend it!

Local attractions

Start any stay here with an immediate jaunt into Bude – there’ll be something here for everyone. There are splashing times to be had on the town’s Widemouth, Crooklets and Summerleaze surf beaches (all about 10 minutes’ drive from base) and with a few hours of coasteering, paddleboarding or swimming in the sheltered sea pool. Anyone who prefers to stay on dry land can visit the heritage centre in Bude Castle or pass by the town’s oldest house, Quay Cottage. Keep one foot in homes of the past by tripping around stately piles and seeing how the one percenters of yore lived hereabouts: within 45 minutes of base, wandering the halls and rooms of Hartland Abbey, Pencarrow House and the Lawrence House Museum comes highly recommended. The stunning cliffside ruins of Tintagel Castle (believed to be the place where legendary King Arthur was conceived) and the pretty RHS Garden Rosemoor are within 40 minutes for easy scenic strolls and explores. There’s plenty to keep kids entertained too: The Milky Way, The Big Sheep amusement park and trips on the Launceston Steam Railway are within half an hour. If longer car rides aren’t a problem, Crealy Adventure Park, Exmoor Zoo, the Blue Reef Aquarium and the fab Eden Project are a little over an hour away.
