  • Scenic family-friendly paddock pitches alongside the South Downs Way
  • An hour's walk from Devil’s Dyke; 30 minutes' drive from Brighton
  • Café a few minutes' walk away; raised barbecues welcome on site
Cruising along the South Downs Way or just dropping by the south coast to visit buzzy Brighton and other coastal towns? Warren Valley Farm has family-friendly paddock pitches alongside the 100-mile South Downs Way, half an hour’s drive from the trails at Devil’s Dyke and 35 minutes from Brighton. This place is part of a farm, so there’s a flock of sheep and cows in the neighbouring fields but it's easily accessible by car. However, the area is also a ripe place to get going on foot or bicycle with peaceful and relaxing trails around – plenty of views too, to add to the sights of the sea and South Downs on site (including at night, as the star-filled skies here can get very dark indeed – it's a good idea to bring a torch). You may want to add some fuel to your body before you set off, and handily, barbecues are welcome on site (raised off the ground only). If you fancy having the cooking done for you, there are pubs, takeaways, bars and restaurants (shops, too) in Shoreham-by-sea, 15 minutes’ drive away. There's also a centre a few minutes' walk away from the site with a café and a treatment room where you can book an aromatherapy head massage, reflexology, sound baths and Reiki treatments. The other facilities on site are kept pretty simple; guests have access to a toilet and shower, a washing-up area with warm and cold drinking water and a bicycle rack. In keeping with the 'leave no trace' ethos, the site kindly asks that you place rubbish in the bins. There are great public transport links within around five miles of the site too, including an airport, train station and bus links.
