Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Our first visit - we loved the site, the right amount of open and sheltered, with really large pitches. The toilet/shower/washing-up/vanity facilities were superb. These toilets were genuniely cleaner than any anywhere! It was all immaculate. Friendly owners, and loved that we could walk over the fields to the vineyard for wine tasting.
We used this as a base attending the Broadstairs Folk Festival which was superb!!! So much fun all for free!

Disliked Nothing at all.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Beautiful setting. Large, spacious field overlooking a beautiful corn field. Large pitches. Friendly owners. Peaceful even with families abd children playing. Toilets, showers and washing up areas were always spotless. Surrounded by beautiful apple orchards. The glamping tents in the other field look amazing and perfect for those who prefer not to take their own tent.

Disliked Not a dislike as such but it would be useful to have a hook on the back of the toilet doors to hang wash bag etc. To save putting them on the floor.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Beautiful facilities and amazing area. Very close to village and not fare away from sea side. Lots of space and easy access.

Disliked I didn't like that we couldn't use radio after 10 pm. No one saying making party, but just quiet music when you sitting outside and drinking your vine.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Plenty of space, clean new toilets & washing area, hot water (even without mains electricity!), good shade from the trees. Lovely 20 minute walks on public footpaths through orchards to the Chequer Inn in Ash and the vineyard/Black Pig in Barnsole.

Disliked Not a dislike but just to raise awareness that kites are not allowed as there is an electricity line at the bottom of the field.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The view, the facilities - just a really gorgeous stay within a short driving distance to Sandwich, Deal and Canterbury. Lovely, hot rainhead showers and flushable toilets.

Disliked It’s a family friendly site, so bring ear plugs in case of excitable children up and playing at 7am. We didn’t mind too much, it’s the summer holidays and was lovely to see kids outside letting off steam in nature!

There’s a few historic towns around, if you didn’t know… medieval Sandwich (10 minutes) and the former fishing and mining town of Deal (20 minutes) are a couple of favourite spots. Beach, pier, museum or theatre… there’s plenty for all sorts of days out in Deal. Canterbury (25 minutes) must, of course, get a mention. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is packed with historical sites, such as the cathedral dating from 597 AD, Roman walls, the simply gorgeous Westgate Gardens and the ruins of St. Augustine’s Abbey.
