What customers say
Brickhouse Farm: Beautiful, peaceful site with spacious, level spots, great views, and wildlife. Owner Gill is praised for friendliness. Clean, modern facilities, especially the ponds. Some wish for freezer, phone charging, and more wash-up taps. Perfect for a relaxing rural getaway.

Very nice and chilled
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Nice and chilled camp site on a farm. Gill the owner is lovely and makes sure everything is always ok. Full of helpful information too and always willing to help. Showers, toilets, sinks are pretty good for a campsite.
Disliked Toilets needed a good bleach up.
Campsite isn't really walking distance to a shop or pub.

A great quiet site for comfortable camping
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The site is beautiful with well maintained ponds, trees and fields. The showers & toilets are clean and comfortable.
The site was quiet, a peaceful haven.
The area for camping is flat and there was plenty of space for us to pitch.
We felt unhurried on the day of departure as it had rained overnight and we were grateful to be able to wait for the tent to dry out.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The space was great as there were only us and one other tent for the majority of our stay. The sunsets and nature are lovely. We spent a couple of nights stargazing with the kids. The geese were friendly and the fish were great to watch.
Disliked There was no check in process and no one to greet us on arrival until we called into the adjacent cottage door on 2 occasions. The showers and toilets could have been nice however they were not cleaned for the duration of our stay. This is also the same for the washing up sink which had food around the plug hole. We found the ground uneaven and heavily cracked (due to the hot summer) which was treacherous for the toilet trek at night. We were told to pitch up right at the back of the field but not under trees which would have provided much needed shelter from the sun and was also a long way from the facilities as the host did not want us near the ponds for safety. We are quite private people so found the daily visits from the host a bit too much. For the price (£164 for 4 nights) I would expect more.

Liked Everything !!!
Greeted by Gill and shown to our large pitch. Site was perfect for us, quiet and plenty of room.toilets were ample and clean.
Few ponds spread around the site so kids would need constant supervision.

A GREAT campsite.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked From the start, Gillian was lovely. She accommodated 2 changes in our arrival date with such kindness. She was friendly and welcoming and checked in to make sure we were ok during our stay.
The campsite is stunning. Peaceful and picturesque with ponds and beautiful trees - plenty of space and wonderful sunsets. The surrounding countryside is great for walks and there are lovely villages and country pubs in the surrounding are.
The WC and shower blocked is the best we’ve ever experienced at a campsite. Proper shower rooms with cubicles, and plenty of space, hot water at all times and spotlessly clean.
Thank you, Gillian, for a great few days. We would thoroughly recommend you and can’t wait to return next year!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Wonderfully quiet and beautiful campsite, plenty of space between pitches, fish food available for £1, spotless toilets and showers, attentive and thoughtful host. Brilliant campsite!
We stayed for a long weekend as a large family group with young children and teenagers and visited the Weald of Kent Steam show just 10 mins down the road on our way home.

Our stay was top notch all round! The Shack is a fabulous cosy getaway
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The Shack was absolutely lovely, really cosy and had everything you needed for a few nights stay. We were privileged to be the first people to stay in it since it was renovated.
The bed was super comfortable and we just loved sitting out the front, over the pond, under the roof and watching the huge fish cruise around. Touches such as leaving a bag of fish food for guests to feed the fish really made it a great place to stay.
A little wood burner and newly fitted kitchenette meant everything was on hand - definitely a big step up from camping!! The hostess was fabulous and made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble :)
A cute mezzanine over the bed, furnished with lots of cushions, meant there was a cosy little hideaway for reading or just chilling.
Everything was sparkling clean and cosy, I highly recommend The Shack for anyone looking for a quiet few nights away. Tenterden is a short drive away and has some great eating and drinking venues as well as many unique and independent shops. Our stay was top notch all round!
Disliked We suggested a couple of shelves could be put up to create a little more storage space, but other than that there was nothing to dislike!

Marvellous Campsite
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked A second visit to this huge open camping space, lots of privacy and never overcrowded. The facilities are much nicer than those on a regular campsite. It was lovely to spend the hot evenings sitting by the ponds feeding the fish. Gillian is the most wonderful human and host, she genuinely cares for all her customers. It was a joy to see her again.
