Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked: This was our first camping trip as a family, traveling with a 1year old and 5year old. It was very quiet and the facilities were nice/clean. The staff were friendly and the water sports on offer looked good fun although we didn’t try them out this time

Powered grass tent campsite
Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, lovely small, quiet location with a beautiful lake. Clean toilet / shower areas (and warm in there as well). We were down south visiting family so it was an ideal spot for us to pitch up and do what we needed to, not too far from our family or the shops.
Disliked: Only niggle was the grass was a bit long and coupled with the rain made it a bit tricky for our 5 year old to kick his ball around easily - but not a major issue

Powered grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked: Lovely location. The Old Ship pub at the end of the road is perfectly located for a drink and serves good food and the One Stop shop can be reached with ease along a path which runs alongside the site and avoids the main road
Disliked: Pitches 4,5 and 6 for camper vans are not fit for purpose. The area round the lake is beautifully gravelled but these three pitches have been sadly neglected and staying there was like parking in a mud bath … It would just take a few sacks of gravel to remedy!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked: We loved the setting, beautiful and peaceful. The children played in the wooded area near our pitch. The facilities were close by and very clean, hot and powerful showers. Plenty of space to change with two little ones! A short walk to the footpath along the river and a comfortable walk with LOs to the nearby marina for food.

Liked: Facilities were clean and the staff were nice, very flexible with arrival times.
Disliked: Expensive for what it was. Pitches were not flat and very close together, more of a carpark than a campsite. Wifi does not work and no signal in the EHU spots.

Primitive grass and gravel RV campsite
Liked: Ease of use, closeness of showers, toilets and cleanilness. Option to pay to swim in the lake. Close to Brickworks museum and other attaractions in a few miles walk. Easy to travel to / from via bus and / train to Southampton Central or further afeild.
Disliked: Becareful with children at this site as the water looks deep and I didn't see any facilities aimed at children.
