Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Beautiful location and proximity to petrol station, pubs, brick works museum and leisure centre. Close to Southampton and Portsmouth. Management sorted out anti social behaviour of neighbouring tent.

Disliked: Showers were too cold for campers but spot on for people using the small lake. Toilets were not cleaned for the 6 day duration I was there. If in doubt move hygiene bins in ladies. Field road up to camping field is really deeply rutted and I nearly bottomed out my vehicle. The approach across the pitch fronts is also heavily rutted and would be tricky to navigate in inclement weather it's also dangerous at night to walk to toilets. The red fire buckets by the pitches are full of green algae water and smell. Pitch price is excessive for the facilities available. Washing up facility is basic and to be frank money needs spending on the whole camping set up to improve the quality of staying there. It's such a shame as it could be an excellent site given done investment and a separate camping shower/toilet facility.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: The peace and quiet, shower facilities were good, cleaned and tidy , breakfast was amazing WiFi throughout the site which was great

Disliked: It's not a lake . It's a pond . If you are thinking of sup boarding you will get bored, The tent pitches are on uneven ground and Rutted track , shop opens at 9 till 5 basic supplies.( Not for Camping tho) Washing up facilities are a cold water tap running into a overflowing bucket 🤢🤢,

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Toilet block open 24/7.

Disliked: Muddy track leads up the hill to the campsite area, it was deeply rutted and very slippery when wet, needs to be a made up track. Camp pitches were not level and rutted with car tracks from previous wet weather episodes.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: Nice quiet site with the amenities that are needed for a short stay

Disliked: Grounds could do with mowing and levelling, bit dodgy driving up to tent pitches with a normal hatchback/saloon without grounding out
