  • Peaceful family-run site near the beaches on Hayling Island
  • A 10-minute walk from the Billy Trail; West beach 10 minutes' drive
  • Off-grid site; farm shop and pub within walking distance
Croft Lane Green Camping is a peaceful family-run campsite in a scenic Hampshire location, with pitches set up on the grazing paddocks of a stables (you'll see some horses on site, but they're kept away from the camping area; as this is a working stables, there are two sets of gates). You'll be staying in tree-lined fields with allocated pitches that have simple facilities like a water supply, two composting loos, a cold shower and a cold water sink, but this is a generally off-grid site so you'll need to mostly bring your own gear (including portable chargers and a torch). Dogs are welcome as long as they're kept under control. Croft Lane Green Camping is in a convenient location for all sorts of local amenities: there's a farm shop selling local produce from Hayling Island and the Isle of Wight half a mile away, while a small supermarket and a garage are available 10 minutes' walk down the road. A 20-minute walk across the field takes you to nearby Northney Farm tea rooms, while several local pubs are also within strolling distance. Planning to stock up for your stay? Croft Lane Green Camping is about five minutes' drive from the nearest big supermarket.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Charlie and Peter were very well organised, there to greet us with bags of wood and advice on how to look after the land. If you’re looking for a green campsite to explore Hayling island this would be perfect!

From the manager: Thank you for saying I am organised as I do need to be to make sure that allocate the pitches where possible so people with children are together and near the compost loos and if there are larger groups of adults they are at the other end of the field. I am happy you appreciated the green aspect of our campsite.

Cleaning products provided as waste water runs into a stream. Firepits and logs are available if requested. Local pub about 20 minutes walk away. Billy Trail for cycling/walking about 5 minutes away.
