What customers say

Stunning Morecambe Bay views & super friendly owners! Immaculate, modern facilities and a popular coffee/croissant van. Some pitches are windy/sloped, but overall, a highly recommended spot for its cleanliness, peace, and beauty.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked The location was absolutely stunning and the owners were friendly and warm throughout our stay. The shower and toilet facilities were beautiful and clean at all times. There is some lovely walks close to the campsite and the Old School Brewery is well worth a visit. Coffees and Croissants from Scarbucks were loved by our party and a really nice touch. We will definitely be back, thank you for your hospitality!!

Disliked That we couldn't stay longer

Bell tent (basic)

Liked Excellent facilities, best toilets and showers we’ve ever seen at a campsite. Lovely position so you can see out over the sea. We stayed in a bell tent which was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Loved ‘scarbucks’ in the morning 8-9 for sausage butties and lovely cups of tea/coffee. Honestly no complaints and just sad that we found it late in the summer and there’s a chance we might not get back again before the summer is over.

Disliked Nothing at all 10/10

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked 10/10! What an amazing find!
Peaceful, well run, lovely owners, the most breathtaking sea views! Modern and clean facilities, Toilets/showers and washing up area. The owners 2 dogs trotted around the site which we loved! Red is just adorable and came to check in on us in our tent, which made us giggle 🐾 😅
We will definitely be returning and will definitely be recommending this beautiful site to our family and friends 🤗

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Loved everything - the views, peace and quiet, beautifully appointed shower rooms and the 'Scarbucks' van for coffee and croissants in the morn - amazing! Shout out to the Old School Brewery nearby - quirky and good selection of drinks, the street food on offer looked great. Can't wait to come back to both one day. Short drive to Carnforth (Booths/Aldi for food) and to Arnside for great coastal/river walk (great little row of gift shops, Deli bakehouse and pubs for afterwards)

Disliked Absolutely nothing - its on our favourites list

Local attractions

In addition to elegant interiors and expansive parkland, Leighton Hall Estate (10 minutes’ drive) runs a lively programme of events, which includes falconry displays, plant fairs and craft markets. A little further up the road, the wetlands of RSPB Leighton Moss are home to egrets, harriers and red deer. Take a stroll along the wide promenade that hugs the bay at Morecambe (25 minutes), stopping for a selfie next to the statue of British comedian Eric Morecambe. Close to the seafront, there are also a bowling alley, a trampoline park and a skatepark, so the kids should have plenty to keep them occupied while you take a tour of the Morecambe Winter Gardens theatre (Easter–October). On the banks of Lake Windermere, the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction (40 minutes) recreates the fictional universe of beloved characters like Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck. After that, you can cross the lake and visit National Trust - Hill Top (50 minutes), the cottage where the children’s author lived and worked.
