FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Area was perfect for little ones they could run round freely.
Disliked No dislikes just would have been easier if the baby changing facilities were open all the time like the toilets and showers instead of having to sign the key out form the reception.

Nice site, would return but would request a different pitch
FHU grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely large site, clean & warm facilities. Great location, not too far from motorway or Blackpool.
Has some lovely views & walks. Wild rabbits running around in the evening was nice to see too!
Disliked We booked a ‘Fully Serviced’ Pitch yet didn’t have a fully serviced pitch (Pitch 7) - there was a tap facing Pitch 6, which our pipes wouldn’t have reached and didn’t even have a grid for drainage either. The hook up is also further back from the pitch. The gravel on the pitch was small and barely fit the car & caravan on (as per the site instructions) and as we didn’t take an awning we had to walk on the waterlogged grass/mud to get into the caravan.
Had I read a previous review about this specific pitch we would have asked for another on check in. There were hardly any other guests so why they put us on this pitch when there were a lot spare closer to reception/the park/the entrance, didn’t make sense.
WiFi is sketchy - we couldn’t connect one evening but worked fine the next day.

Nothing…

Liked Nothing
Disliked Terrible noisy camper van/ caravan pitch way too close to motorway, traffic noise at night kept us awake, too far from local pub unless you drive, pretty dangerous road to walk, quite a way out from Blackpool, £10-15 Uber ride.
WiFi is almost non existent dips in and out, very uneven pitches with slopes, water logged pitches (pitch 7) and very small gravel beds too small for a camper van, electrical connections are way too far from the pitches.
Toilet block is too small with only 2 showers, cafe closed out of season, to top it all they charged me £100 to pull the camper van off their short waterlogged pitch which took all of 20 mins including collecting their vehicle, £300 an hour vs min wage!!!!
Apparently it’s all my fault because I parked on the grass, but the van wouldn’t fit on the small gravel beds too and the electrics were miles back off the pitch. Very Customer friendly, definitely won’t be back here !!!

Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Convenient for our purpose (to see family locally), although you couldn't walk to anywhere safely on the surrounding roads. As it was winter, we didn't look at the water park. The facilities were clean and warm. We arrived in the dark and were surprised when we awoke to find a full- sized lynx helicopter parked next to our pitch!
Disliked Not a dislike as such, but we had to check in by 5pm as reception closed then. It made our journey a bit stressful as there was no late arrivals procedure.
