Liked Quiet site. Site shop was good. Easy walk into town. Staff are friendly.

Disliked Shower/toilet area wasn't great. Not much room to shower & get dressed.

Liked Entertainment staff were great. Location is good and we enjoyed the walk into the village. There is a nice sift play cafe there and a playground for the kids in the village too. The pool was good for my 1 and 4 year old. Clearlybthere is a lot of work going into other parts of the site, but I would suggest putting people on those pitches now, given the site was not even a third occupied.

Disliked Issues with electric hook up for 3 days. Unable to make formula milk for my baby when he needed it. No apology from the site and a fix unavailable over the bank holiday weekend. No offer of alternative solution. Thankfully I had a 30 meter cable and was able to run it up the hill to the next row of caravans that was completely empty. Caravans sent to pitches thay were already occupied. One row of caravans squashed into tiny pitches while two other rows of pitches were completely empty. Children's play area completely unkempt and with a pad locked gate, so we didn't use it once
Aggressive children without parental or any supervision in the soft play, eating and leaving rubbish in there. This was unsafe for my 1 and 4 year old children. Mainly issues with the guests than the place.
Really grubby and dirty toilets abd shower block.

What customers say

This park has great family amenities like a pool and play area, plus friendly staff and nice views. However, touring pitches are often uneven and overcrowded with poor upkeep. Some guests found the facilities dated, cleanliness lacking, and the pool now costs extra. A few cancellations occurred.

Liked A really lovely site that was spacious. A large bar, mini golf & pool. Only a 30min walk into Longridge. Plenty of showers & toilets. Undercover pot washing facilities was great. The friendliest lady in the shop which was well stocked & offered a fab breakfast. The addition of a burger/hot dog/chips van too.

Disliked A cold tap in the toilet area for brushing teeth would be good. The hand soap dispensers were empty apart from 2 but those points are the only negatives.

Local attractions

Beacon Hill Country Park and the Forest of Bowland are mere minutes away by car and both have miles of walking routes across a range of landscapes including woodland, hills and farmland. Climb to the top of Beacon Hill to see landmarks in all directions including Belvoir Castle, Lincoln Cathedral and the hills of the Peak District. Said to be the inspiration for Tolkien’s Middle Earth (which might make you want to furry foot it there immediately), the Ribble Valley has the 70-mile path the Ribble Way, shopping in towns such as Clitheroe or munching one’s way around the Ribble Valley Food Trail. The River Ribble is a big hook for anglers landing chub, barbel, trout and salmon. City day trips are in all directions too: the kids’ eyes will light up with a trip to Blackpool… and for shopping, the Trafford Centre and Liverpool One of Manchester and Liverpool respectively should empty your wallet nicely…
