Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

Liked: Location was good for the proximity to the city although quite a long walk! This is a very rural site with nothing other than the shower block but we like this. Beautiful surroundings. Shower block excellent. Sparkling clean and a huge cubicle. Pitches were well spaced. Bus stops at the top of the road so city access is good.

Disliked: Nothing of any significance

Liked: Wow we loved it, I'd done my homework on ashton hall, I knew it was rustic and a natural, if your looking for good old fashioned country air, fabulous walks, peace and quiet this is for you, if you want wardens, pretty flower pots and mowed grassed then don't bother, the showers and toilets are lovely and clean,there is no wi fi but I have my own, reception was superb, it was a complete nonsense break, would I return without a doubt it's certainly a thumbs up from us, if you have pooches they will love it.looking forward to going back certainly gone on the favourite list.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Site and facilities are second to none, costal walks available from site, eating and beverage sites a plenty within an easy walk, Golf Course (if your afflicted) All pitches Hardstanding and grass for awning, guessing but I would say pitches a 40ft / 10meters long, surrounded by trees and fields, Lancaster 5 miles Morecombe 10 miles (approximately) Nearest supermarket with parking 3 miles (Booths)

Disliked: Being next to open countryside has disadvantages as farmers can be thoughtless, with manure on windy days but they have a job to do😊😊

Disliked: When we went local farmer spread neat excrement on the adjoining field when the wind was blowing across the site and it was a Saturday !!!!????

Slightly further afield, the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is within easy reach by car at 16 miles, and a regular bus service runs direct from Ashton Estate in to Lancaster. Road and rail links from the city will take you to Cumbria and beyond too if you're using the site as a base for exploring the Lake District, Morecambe, or Blackpool, 50 minutes away by car. Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a £25.00 ($31.39) fee.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
