What customers say
This peaceful campground offers spacious sites and stunning country views. Facilities are basic but clean with hot water. Guests loved the quiet and nearby trails/river. Some noted limited dish sinks & a tricky access road. Managers confirmed an alternate bathhouse is open and noise was resolved.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The space. Toilets and showers were nice and hot water but only lasted for about 15-20 minutes - fine for a normal shower but had I washed my hair I would’ve needed a bit longer! Really great space and beautiful farm/countryside.
I think having a fire could be a bit cheaper. Also no signs for drinking water, but apparently all cold taps were drinking water which I had to find out the next day. Everything was great and really nice campsite, would recommend going there. Very peaceful and pleasant

Staff greeted us straight away! No issues at all.
Powered grass campsite
Liked Absolutely stunning views, loved the fact it was very spacious and you had plenty of room per pitch. Didn’t feel on top of each other at all.
Disliked Potentially could have done with more washing up sinks as only 1. The 3rd toilet door didn’t lock very well and one toilets like weren’t working. My only criticism is the cubicles did feel a little dirty.
I know it all depends on the pitch/ campsite but more open water taps would have been great.

Overall a very good site.
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very relaxed site with good sized pitches. I didn’t bother with EHU so can’t comment on that.
Shower was a little outdated but worked well, which is the important bit.
Toilets were all good.
Disliked Approach road needs more passing places.
Another dish wash sink would be good, one not enough

A lovely quiet site with lovely views and good clean facilities.
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked This site has lovely views and flat spacious pitches. The toilet and shower facilities are basic but clean and kept well supplied. The site is generally very quiet as it is away from roads. We had noise from rowdy campers one night until the early hours but this was dealt with effectively by the owner the next day by asking them to leave. I probably should have contacted them on the night,so that was my fault. I also thought it was very good value.
Disliked Access road has long single track stretches. You have to be prepared to reverse a considerable way. Don't attempt to access via the road from Sedbergh and past Sedbergh golf club - there is an incredibly narrow bridge that way. A camper would certainly not get through and a car may only have an inch or 2 either side (we didn't attempt it so turned around).
