What customers say
This peaceful, remote site gets kudos for stunning scenery, chill vibes, and friendly owners. Guests love the 'back to basics' feel; composting toilets are clean & functional. Fire pits are a hit! Minor notes on toilet cleanliness, long grass, and hot water availability, though improvements are underway. Perfect for a quiet escape!

Lovely little site with nice views
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely little site, very quiet with beautiful views. Compost toilets were fab (I was a little worried about them).
Disliked The field was covered in sheep poop which was a shame but didn't cause any issues as such, just meant we always had to have shoes on.

Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Spacious campsite, which isn’t busy so you don’t feel like you’re falling over other campers.
Quiet and peaceful.
I visited alone and had a lovely evening relaxing.
Disliked Personally, I think the price was a little steep for the amenities included but with the quietness I didn’t mind (if the campsite was busier, I wouldn’t be impressed with the price). Had to book as a campervan due to roof tent and pay extra for this, however tents and camper vans in the same location.
(Would still visit again though)

Gem of a site
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked What a great little find! Relaxed vibe to the place, just pitch where you want. Was perfect to kick back after a morning up in the hills with a great view of the northern howgills straight from the back of the pick up. It was perfectly silent pretty much all day and over night apart from some sheep and the sound of the near by stream. Easy to get to en route from either the dales or the lakes. Great place!
Disliked Nothing it was all good

£5 shower, no wifi
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked The composting toilets are great, they work. Fire pits at each pitch are a nice touch.
Disliked The confirmation email states that showers are £5. There is no wifi. Noisy crows in the morning. Brush teeth in wash-up area. Please check the light in the toilet on the right.

Liked Great get away. If you like to get into the countryside and away from fast paced life, this is ideal. Town nearby and plenty long walks. Would recommend highly.
