Skiddaw-view camping pod (two person)
Liked: We stayed in a camping pod. It was well equipped and clean and tidy. And lovely views. I love how we had a little fenced in garden area so our dogs could run around outside the pod but still be contained. A lovely chilled out campsite.

From the manager: Thanks for your lovely review! Pleased you noticed the vibe we try to give out! We have lots of dogs and we hoped the pods design would mean that you can relax whilst way away with your four legged friends.
Generously sized pitches, peaceful farm setting.

Liked: The space is excellent, no one is on top of each other, each pitch is really generously sized. The kids liked the closeness to the farm animals and lane drive down to the site, the view is amazing!

From the manager: No-one wants to go camping and feel like sardines, we are pleased you felt the pitches were spacious as that is what we hoped for 😃

Liked: Honestly I don't even know where to start, it's exactly what it says, some of the reviews I read must have not read anything about it 🤣 its a lovely campsite, id definitely come back if/when im up that way again, I chose the electric side as the weather didn't look to great and thought the kids could charge their electronics (and we could from the long drives, Travelling from north wales and northern ireland) It's on a working farm, we absolutely love waking up to the cows mooing in the distance 😍 nothing like waking up to it 😍 kids absolutely loved seeing the animals as well! Plenty of toilets/showers which were spotless. Gutted I didn't check out the little shop before going to the garage shop as I would have saved some £! The owners were lovely too- their number is in the toilets if you need it. After so much rainfall recently we took wellies and waterproofs for us (like any normal person would regardless of where youd go) kids were able to have blast and not let the great British weather get in the way of their fun! Love the fact they have firepits/logs/sticks, I completely forgot to pack my fire pit. I'd of had 3 unhappy mini campers at no toasted marshmallows. Overall it's exactly what it says, which was absolutely perfect for us. Great location too!!
Disliked: I don't think I disliked anything? What's to dislike? It's exactly what it says and more!

Liked: Very well organised, nice hard ground to pitch up, definitely will be coming back, very friendly site owners, only shame is I didn’t bring cash for the camp site shop. Very clean facilities too, And want to say a massive thank you for lending 2 forks as we had driven 140miles and forgot the cutlery 🤣
Disliked: No faults, nothing to dislike and great value

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean showers and toilets. Lovely base location for walkers.
Disliked: The field is very exposed. The poor weather ahead of our arrival made the site very boggy. Best visited during summer season.
