Liked: We liked the location, the town and proximity to historical points of interest, as well as the cycleway. The outlook from the pitch, the facilities on site, including the bistro.
Disliked: The pitch was very tight and if it had been very busy camping related vehicles would be very close together, which is exasperated by the closeness of the pay and display Carpark which shares the space. The toilet and showers though well appointed were unfortunately not cleaned during our two night stay, which it was fortunate that there were not too many people using the camp site. The facilities were door coded, but someone other that the campers was also using the gents facilities. Access and the concrete steps was unfinished and there was no mention of the building works immediately adjacent to the site, which out of curtusy this should have been mentioned, or the piles of Building waste. The rates (£33/ night) were expensive given the amount of work going on on the site. We would have rated this site higher if there were none of the deficiencies listed above, and particularly the amount of Building works debris and the ancillary woodyard. Pitchup pitch descriptions did not matched the actual, which caused some confusion between the check in personnel and ourselves. Would we stay again, yes we would.

Liked: The toilet/shower and washing up facilities were great. The hard standing pitch was great for our campervan. The staff were really helpful. A small site but fine for a night.
Disliked: No free WiFi as stated,so my older children weren't happy.

Liked: Staff were super friendly throughout our weekend. We had meals in the bistro, food was amazing! It was our first holiday with our 2 labrador puppies, they were able to be with us everywhere we went on site which was amazing. The toilet block was very clean, modern and had all the facilities we needed.
Disliked: The size of the pitches were small, we did feel we were on top of other campers who were next to us. (electric pitches)
