Liked Lovely camping site. Very peaceful and in a brilliant location.
The owners have really thought through what campers need for a restful break including a communal fridge, place to freeze packs to refreeze, plugs to change up electronic devices.
The toilet and showers are lovely and clean. Will certainly return again

Best campsite we’ve ever been
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Absolutely beautiful place , owners were so lovely and interacted with all their guests, well spaced out tents we even sat and enjoyed time with other fellow campers , honestly couldn’t have had a better time , little bar on the Saturday along with a lovely man getting all the kids involved at the fish pond was an added extra , totally will return again
Disliked Nothing at all

A stunning campsite, with the added bonus of a ready pitched tent!
Bell tent (basic)
Liked The bell tent was lovely—spacious, spotless, and perfectly placed by the pond, ready for us to move straight in. The campsite itself is a stunning hidden gem: beautifully maintained, peaceful, and ideal for a short break after work.
Disliked The washing up area was a bit grubby, but nothing major.

Pitches lively and flat, owners friendly. Pond great for kids.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The site was lovely. Kids loved the pond. Loved the indoor facilities for bad weather, fortunately we did not need them. Owners friendly and on call if needed. Having a kettle for hot water for washing up was good. Definitely re visit.
Disliked Kitchen area was a little disappointing. Needed a little bit of a tidy up. I had to throw cloths and empty washing up bottles away just so I felt comfortable washing up. Could have had a small bin for food wast from sink. Bins were located just to the side but it was obvious other people hadn’t used them. Indoor facilities were good but would have been more appealing if it had been tidied up and equipment not in use put away.

We loved it and would definitely stay again.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We loved the family safe space with facilities nearby. It was well maintained and the family running the site are very friendly. We appreciated the time they would take to check in on us during our stay. The children loved the space and being able to pond dip, see the horses, play on the piano and generally feel safe. We especially appreciated the indoor hut by the pond with the weather being so hot.
Disliked Honestly can't fault it, we stayed a week in our tent and loved every minute.

Can be overcrowded - as a campsite near the town pitches are small.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Location- close to Chester. You could walk the greenway into Chester ( about 5 miles) and walk into Wales along the greenway. Lynden was very friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers were clean and there was a kettle for hot water. Has a nice pond and a wooden bar area where you could charge phones. Chester is a good location and there’s plenty to do nearby- walk the walls, zoo, Loggerheads country park, Delamere forest, Liverpool and West Kirby for walks.
Disliked Size of the pitch was small and the site was busy. Pitches needed to be more clearly identified. Sometimes the car park was full. Others on the campsite pitched too close to us. Sometimes all the plug sockets for charging phones were in use. It depends on the others who are on the campsite. We felt there was too many pitches for the size of the site. But it was peak season. Outside this time it could have been a peaceful site.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Very well kept site ran by a lovely couple who were more than happy to help us make the most of our stay.
My kids loved the piano and the indoor area was really useful. We played cards in there, made use of the fridge and made my morning brew. Toilets and showers excellent. Pitch was a good size.
Disliked The noise from the bar on Saturday and villagers walking past our tent to leave whilst shouting to each other. We'd had a long day and expected it to be quieter.
