Liked: So much to like about Walkmill Campsite. The location is secluded and just about every detail has been thoughtfully considered. There is a choice of pitches which are very-well spaced. We were allocated one which caught the sun in the morning and evening at the time of year (Sept). Birdlife and wildlife abounds and the whole of the centre of the field is left as meadow. A static caravan provides loos, a shower and bath!, a lounge, a coffee-room and a kitchen area with a mini-shop providing food and drink items if needed- fresh eggs and fruit and a chiller with Northumbrian produce - honesty piggy bank. Kettles, washing-up facilities, fridge, freezer and even hot water bottles are availble 7am until 9pm. Loos and washing-up facilities outside too. The owners were very welcoming, attentive and helpful. Long may this gem remain to provide a haven for campers.

Liked: Location at walkmill is excellent a good base to explore. I have stayed at walkmill a number of times it is our favourite site. Facilities are very clean and ample, the owners have added 2 outdoor showers recently which are in keeping with the theme of the site. Set up of the whole campsite is lovely. It never feels overcrowded, pitches are spacious not on top of each other. It's definitely a posh wild campsite. Very much in keeping with nature. So relaxing staying at walkmill.

Liked: Friendly owners. Nice quiet site and large pitches. We stayed near the river. Good location- we walked into Warkworth to look at the castle and beach. Handy shop and useful to have fridge and cooking facilities in case of bad weather.
Disliked: Was quite busy accessing washbasin in mornings/evenings.
