Liked: 2nd time we've been to this site loved the scenery and the peace and quiet no arrival time no kick off time just come and go as you please so no stresses and no pressure. Portaloos are topped up every so often for basic needs other wise not disturbed and left to get on with your holiday

Disliked: Nothing at all

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked: The field, the dog walking area.

Disliked: The facilities, minging toilets ! Overpriced for what it is, tenner at the most

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: I’m sorry you believe our toilets to be ‘minging’. They are cleaned twice daily and we found no issues during your time of stay with us. Our prices are reviewed regularly and found to be inline with other sites in the area providing comparable facilities.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked: Quiet spot

Disliked: Toilets were filthy. We’re used to basic and portaloos but expect them to be clean. Neither were acceptable- even if one was clean that would be ok… no drinking water either though this is mentioned in the small print somewhere. A shame as the situation is lovely though exposed. We abandoned in the end. We’d cycled all day so wanted at least the basics to be available..disappointing.

From the manager: I’m sorry you were unhappy with our facilities and chose not to stay with us. As explained in our email to you, we clean our toilets twice daily but unfortunately on occasions incidents can occur in between these times. Again, as explained, a simple phone call could have resolved this immediately. It is unfortunate that your review was not made after actually staying with us and experiencing what we have to offer.

We really enjoyed the camp site despite the weather being terrible that…

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Field was a great size with and amazing view over looking the valley. Pub was In a good walking distance. Toilets and shower always clean and fresh toiletries everyday.

Disliked: No drinking water facilities. Maybe not enough toilets only two on a big site.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We are always happy to provide drinking water for guests and we will look to add extra toilets in the future.
