  • Quiet pop-up farm site on the edge of the Northumberland coast
  • Alnwick 10 minutes' drive; Seahouses a quarter of an hour away
  • Set on a working arable and sheep farm; dogs on leads welcome
Gallowmoor Farm is a small, friendly pop-up farm site in the scenic county of Northumberland, close to the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is part of a working arable and sheep farm but located away from most of the agricultural activity, giving you a taste of rural life with plenty of peace and quiet. With a limited number of spacious pitches, guests here can look forward to a laidback camping experience. The pitches are separated by a tree on either side, for shade and extra privacy. Facilities are simple, but you'll have access to drinking water and basic portable toilets. Other amenities are within easy reach, though, as Gallowmoor Farm is about a mile and a half from Rennington's village pub and a 10-minute drive from the larger town of Alnwick, where supermarkets, shops and cafés are available. Gallowmoor Farm is about two miles from the A1, making it an excellent stopover for north-south road trips as well as a top pick for longer stays close to the varied attractions of the Northumberland coast. Well-behaved dogs are allowed, but out of consideration towards other guests and the livestock in neighbouring fields, please make sure that they are kept on a lead at all times.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, it is very much appreciated. I love that you found the toilets 'surprisingly pleasant', I take great pride in making sure the toilets are as clean and pleasant as they can be (which isn't easy with a portaloo) We look forward to perhaps welcoming you again next year. Liked: Pitches were very spacious and the trees were a nice addition for shade. Beautiful view and close to shops and tourist destinations like Alnwick castle. For a popup campsite very well organised and friendly owners.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked: We love Gallowmoor campsite! It’s exactly as described - stunning views, quiet spot, relaxed site, and Abbie is approachable, helpful and there if you need anything but gives you your space! It’s perfect for us and we’ll be back again soon I hope!

Disliked: Obviously no showers but that’s clear in the info so that’s the key thing!

Liked: Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast

Disliked: Unfortunately I timed my stay with the only stretch of dry weather... As a working farm it was harvest time and a bit busy!
